Kartik Ved is India’s first World Series Of Poker (WSOP) Online bracelet winner. He is known to be one of the sharpest players in the country. Ved went from being a poker pro to a poker coach who is widely respected in the industry. This player has shown his poker prowess on both live and online felts, with many considering Ved to be among the top five players of the country.
The poker dynamo narrowly missed a gold bracelet in WSOP 2022 when he finished third. This second runner-up finish is Ved’s best live score worth $275,593 from the $1,000 No Limit Hold’em – Mini Main Event (Event #66). Ved also had a golden run at the WSOP Online 2020 in the $840 Super Turbo Bounty No Limit Hold’em tournament (Event #64). He took the first position for a payday of $234,433. While at WSOP, he got the chance to rub shoulders against the likes of Daniel Negreanu, Eric Seidel, Maria Ho, Sergi Reixach, and Ryan Reiss.
Currently residing in Goa, the poker pro has recorded total live earnings of $1,144,802 and standing tall at the 7th spot on the India All Time Money List. He is amongst the top 2,500 players in the world. The poker pro first caught limelight during the 2019 edition of the WSOP when he claimed the 51st spot and pocketed a handsome prize money of $173,015 after battling a player field of 8,569 entries.
Ved’s first recorded tournament play dates back to August 2015. The poker player participated in ₹5,000+₹750 No Limit Hold’em at the India Poker Championship (IPC) in Panjim and earned $146 for a 20th place finish. Ved has recorded some impressive scores in WSOP with the Indian poker pro recording a fourth place finish in WSOP 2022 $5,000 No Limit Hold’em (Event #87) to pocket $172,103.
This Indian player has participated in series like the Asian Poker Tour (APT), World Poker Tour (WPT), World Series of Poker (WSOP), European Poker Tour (EPT), Deltin Poker Tournament (DPT), Baazi Poker Tour (BPT), among others.
One of Ved’s deep runs came in the form of ₹100,000 No Limit Hold’em – Baazi Poker Tour March 2022 Highroller. Ved managed a sixth place finish to earn ₹9,80,000. In April 2023, Ved played the No Limit Hold’em – 50K (Event #11) at WPT Prime India. Here, the pro took the fifth spot for ₹3,50,000.
On the virtual felts, Ved’s biggest domestic online cash came from the Legend Poker Series (September 2023) Event #117 – ₹2.5 Crore GTD Main Event Day 2 for over ₹25 Lakh.
