WSOP 2022 ME: Several Indians Progress To Day 3


The World Series of Poker (WSOP) 2022 Main Event has been proving to be a successfull one for the Indian contingent in Las Vegas. Day 2 of the $10,000 No-Limit Hold’em Main Event Championship has concluded with the end of the Day 2D flight. And those who have qualified include several Indian names.

Siddharth Karia leads the Indian players on to Day 3 with a stack of 401,000 chips. Former WSOP (online) bracelet winner Kartik Ved follows with 296,500 chips. Jaideep Sajwan progresses with 158,500 chips in his bag, while not very far behind are Aditya Systla with 154,500 chips and Sajwan’s buddy Ashish Ahuja, who bagged 151,000 chips. Muskan Sethi ended the day with 131,000 chips, while Neel Joshi with 121,500 chips follows. Finally, Kalyan Chakravarthy has 84,000 chips in his kitty.

Lawyer turned poker pro Ahuja also shared that he had a “swingy last level” before bagging 151K chips, with Jaideep Sajwan on his Instagram story. Take a look below.

Indian-origin players like two-time bracelet winner Nipun Java (350,500 chips) and Kunal Punjwani (53,000 chips) are also in the race on Day 3. Out of 3,749 entries on Day 2d of the Main Event, 1,757 players have made their way to Day 3.

Other Indian players who busted on Day 2d and unfortunately, couldn’t make it to Day 3 are Akshay Bhardwaj (1808th), India’s first and only female bracelet winner Nikita Luther (1853rd), Jaydeep Dawer (2341st), Raghav Bansal (2358th), Shashank Jain (2540th), Madhav Gupta (2590) and Apratim Sharma (2738th). 

This takes India’s total tally of players progressing to Day 3 to 10. Earlier, Arsh Grover and former WSOP bracelet winner Aditya Sushant had also qualified for Day 3 from Day 2abc flight
