Tuesday Roundup: Debneil Mukherjee And Atishay Samuel Clinch Top Spots


Virtual felts of Spartan Poker and PokerBaazi were bustling with some intense action and energy. The virtual felts witnessed top poker pros grinding hard to grab the top spots. Here’s what the night looked like:

Megastack – ₹16.50 Lakh GTD

Megastack on Spartan Poker was one of the biggest tournaments of the night. It witnessed 557 entries, which surpassed the initial guarantee to generate a final prize pool of ₹16,71,000. The top 47 places took home a min-cash of ₹9,524. Debneil Mukherjee aka ‘ChhotaDon’ shipped the tournament and added ₹3,25,677 to his bankroll. At the runner-up spot was Sreeharsha Boneni aka ‘yUDdam,’ who took home a pay cheque of ₹2,06,869. Anonymous player ‘sanu15’ finished third for ₹1,55,068.

Arun Sriram finished fourth for ₹1,25,492, Naresh Veeravali finished fifth for ₹75,529. Abhimanyu Mittal busted at the 15th spot for ₹22,224. IOPC January 2021 Main Event winner, Laksh Pal Singh busted at the 19th spot for ₹17,211, IOPC reg Rajeev Kumar busted 22nd for ₹15,540, Ankit Wadhawan busted at the 27th spot for ₹13,869, Mohit Mehta busted 35th for ₹10,694 and Aman Parakh finished 41st for ₹9,524.

IOPC The Crown final table contender Ankit Bajaj, finished 48th but could not make any money. Sagar Choudhury busted at the 51st place, IOPC July 2021 leaderboard winner, Anuj Yadav busted at the 58th place, Siddharth Gangwar busted at the 62nd place, Manish Lakhotia finished at the 71st place, IOPC July 2021 Blaze of Glory winner Harshad barve finished 75th after three re-entries, Gutshot’s April 2021 e-magazine cover star Siddharth Karia finished at the 78th place, IOPC Legends final table contender, Sumit Sapra finished 81st, IOPC The Crown runner-up Aditya Agarwal busted at the 85th place and IOPC July 2021 Legends runner-up, Arsh Grover finished at 87th place.

The Race – ₹6.75 Lakh GTD

Spartan Poker’s staple The Race was as usual a star-studded affair. The tournament attracted 435 entries. Top 39 places drew a min-cash of ₹4,675. 

Mystery player ‘sarryu’ topped the table and cashed ₹1,35,337. Mohit Mehta aka ‘thejoker’ was the runner-up who bagged the highest five-figure prize money of ₹89,977, while ‘X–factor’ finished third for ₹65,812.

Arun Sriram busted seventh for ₹23,152, Sandeep Bhatnagar finished 21st for ₹6,615 and Ronuk Lekhraj busted 34th for ₹4,657.

Players who left empty handed included names like Shashank Desai who finished 43rd, IOPC January 2021 Millionaire Legends and Mastermind winner, Aniket Waghmare finished 48th, Ankit Wadhawan busted at the 58th place. Megastack winner Debneil Mukherjee finished 73rd, Sahil Mahboobani finished at the 75th place and Abhimanyu Mittal finished at the 83rd place.

The Endeavour – ₹12 Lakh GTD

After the success of the Asia Poker Tour, PokerBaazi hosted another high-value tournament on Tuesday night. The advertised guarantee of this tourney was surpassed as the final prize pool stood at ₹12.6 Lakh. Out of the 360 entries, the top 45 places took home a min-cash of ₹7,056. Atishay Samuel aka ‘nutscracker’ shipped the tournament and added an impressive sum of ₹2,39,000 to his bankroll. 

Devbrat Rout aka ‘GarethBale’ and Prince Singh aka ‘NaNki’ busted at the second and third spot for ₹2,11,000 and 1,19,000 respectively. Aman Parakh busted at the 19th place for ₹11,840, Ankit Wadhawan busted at the 24th place for ₹10,580, Anmol Mehta busted at the 26th place ₹9,324, and Megastack winner Debneil Mukherjee busted at the 38th spot for ₹7,056 at this tourney.  

Players who busted without making any money included Chirag Sodha at the 53rd spot, Ritwik Khanna at the 57th place, Abhimanyu Mittal at the 60th spot, Sanat Mehrotra at the 66th place with five re-entries, WSOP bracelet winner, Kartik Ved at the 70th spot, Sahil Mahboobani at the 76th spot, Manish Lakhotia at the 78th place and IOPC January 2021 Main Event winner, Laksh Pal Singh at the 87th place with five re-entries.
