IOPC Day 11: Kripalani, Purohit and Patni Among Others Nail Top Spots


The festivities continued on Day 11 of the India Online Poker Championship (IOPC) July 2021, with utmost excitement and action. As several players flocked to the virtual felts and put their best foot forward, only a few like Siddhanth Kripalani, Anuj Yadav, Anant Puraohit among others managed to grab winning titles. Here’s what day 11 looked like.

IOPC #63 – ₹3.75 Lakh

IOPC #63 was the first tournament of Day 11, which kick-started the day with a bang. It attracted 809 entries and generated a final prize pool of ₹4,04,500 by crushing the initial guarantee. The top 39 places drew a min-cash of ₹2,791.

The tournament was topped by Aditya Kesharwani aka ‘KesarDaa,’ who took home ₹81,102 in prize money. At the second spot was IOPC #47 winner, ‘LACHANCE,’ who walked away with ₹53,919.

IOPC #64 – ₹6.8 Lakh GTD

This ₹6.8 Lakh guarantee tournament witnessed 368 entries crushing the advertised guarantee to generate a final prize pool of ₹7,36,000. The top 31 places were paid a min-cash of ₹6,476.

Anuj Yadav aka ‘tittooTauji’ shipped the tournament for ₹1,34,231. Shashikant Meena aka ‘Shiv1985’ finished second for ₹1,26,239.

IOPC #65 – ₹4.75 Lakh GTD

IOPC #65 was an exciting tournament which witnessed the guarantee being surpassed by a slight margin as the final prize pool stood at ₹4,76,000. The top 55 places made it in the money with a min-cash of ₹2,332.

Adda52 Game Ambassador, Kunal Patni aka ‘NutsTodayBluffTomo’ clinched the title and added ₹70,307 to his bankroll. Anonymous player ‘The Magnet’ grabbed the second spot for ₹64,990.

IOPC #66 Wednesday Prime- ₹50 Lakh

IOPC #66 Wednesday Prime was hands down the biggest tournament of the day, with respect to the prize pool, number of entries as well as the action that went down on the virtual felts. Naturally, the initial guarantee was crushed by the 1,080 entries to generate a final prize pool of ₹54 Lakh. The top 95 places enjoyed a portion of the massive prize pool and took home a min-cash of ₹15,930.

Anonymous ‘jacktheripper’ won the title and laughed his way to the bank with ₹8,22,722. Akshat Sharma aka ‘doubledown’ walked away with a pay cheque of ₹6,67,928 at the runner-up spot.

Players who made it in the money included Ankit Wadhawan (7th, ₹1,56,600), Guruprasad Gupta (9th, ₹84,780), Vivek Singh with four re-entries (11th, ₹69,120), Vinayak Bajaj (15th, ₹51,786), Kunal Patni (19th, ₹40,986), Myron Periera (30th, ₹26,730), NPS 2021 Sprint winner, Kanchan Sharma (35th, ₹23,490), Vinay Rajpal (37th, ₹23,490), Sahil Mahboobani (39th, ₹23,490), Surbhit Grover (69th, ₹18,090), Anuj Yadav (70th, ₹18,090), Abhimanyu Mittal (71st, ₹18,090), Gutshot April 2021 e-magazine cover star, Siddharth Karia (73rd, ₹15,930), Ashish Kumar (75th, ₹15,930) and  IOPC #4 Blaze of Glory winner, Harshad Barve (93rd, ₹15,930).

Haider Madraswala (112nd), IOPC January 2021 winner, Laksh Pal Singh (117th), IOPC #67 Wednesday Spotlight runner-up Himanshu Arora (118th), Neel Joshi (120th), Siddhanth Kripalani (122nd), WSOP bracelet winner, Kartik Ved (131st), Goonjan Mall (132nd), IOPC July 2020 and January 2021 leaderboard winner, Bhanu Prakash (142nd), Vishal Bajaj (152nd), Shardul Parthasarathi (164th) and IPC 2020 winner, Rubin Labroo with four re-entries(171st) busted before making any money.

IOPC #67 Wednesday Spotlight – ₹12 Lakh

Wednesday Spotlight was one of the hottest tournaments of the day that witnessed 957 entries. The initial guarantee was crushed as the final prize pool stood at ₹14,35,500. The top 87 places managed to draw a min-cash of ₹4,450 at this tourney.

Siddhanth Kripalani aka ‘PluRibu$,’ grabbed the spotlight title and cashed ₹2,74,898 in prize money, while Himanshu Arora aka ‘shambolic794’ finished second for ₹1,71,111.

IOPC #5 Dream Catcher winner, Haider Madraswala (5th, ₹74,646), IOPC #65 winner, Kunal Patni (10th, ₹19,235), IOPC #40 Saturday Prime winner, Nitesh Katiyar (29th, ₹7,321), Ankit Wadhawan (55th, ₹5,598), IOPC #66 Wednesday Spotlight runner-up, Akshat Sharma (60th, ₹5,024), IOPC #61 Tuesday spotlight winner, Laksh Pal Singh (64th, ₹5,024), Rubin Labroo (70th, ₹5,024), Vinay Rajpal (72nd, ₹4,450), IOPC leaderboard champion, Bhanu Prakash (80th, ₹4,450) and Vishal Bajaj (81st, ₹4,450) made it in the money.

Other notable players who left empty handed included pros like Millionaire Legends and Mastermind winner, Aniket Waghmare (89th), Siddharth Gangwar (90th), IOPC #4 Blaze of Glory winner, Harshad Barve (91st), Sanish Chhabra (94th), Anirban Das (97th), IOPC #64 winner, Anuj Yadav (101st), Vishnu Khandelwal (102nd), IOPC July 2021 commentator Goonjan Mall (103rd), Anmol Mehta (108th), IOPC reg Guruprasad Gupta (113rd), Aman Parakh (121st), Sahil Mahboobani (122nd), Abhimanyu Mittal (127th), Megastack winner, Manish Lakhotia (130th), Myron Periera (137th) and Mohit Mehta (138th).

IOPC #68 All Rounder – ₹10 Lakh GTD

The Wednesday All Rounder was a dose of all-round thrill on the virtual felts. With a rebuy available at 50%, 658 entries battled it out for the top spots and a prize pool of a million. Only 39 places managed to take home a min-cash of ₹6,900.

Anant Purohit aka ‘Prometheius’ emerged victorious and added ₹1,88,574 to his bankroll. IOPC January 2020 Millionaire Main Event winner, Anurag Srivastava aka ‘TheDarkKnightReturns’ finished at the runner-up spot. He had a payday of ₹1,45,225.
