EPT Paris 2024 ME: Sahil Chutani And Santhosh Suvarna Make Day 3

Update:

Day 2 ends with Sahil Chutani in top 50 chip counts. Santhosh Suvarna also qualified for Day 3 while Krishna Madhariwar busted. The chip lead at the end of Day 2 rests with Eliot Hudon who will bring a stack of 955,000 to Day 3.

The PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) Paris 2024 series held at the Palais des Congres is running full steam. The much awaited €5,300 EPT Main Event (ME) is currently witnessing its Day 2 unfold with Gregory Fournier chip leading with 680,000 at dinner break. 

When it comes to the Indian contingent grinding in this coveted tournament, we had names like Abhinav Iyer, Santhosh Suvarna, Apoorva Goel, Sahil Chutani, Krishna Madhariwar qualifying Day 2 via the two starting flights of Day 1A and Day 1B. 

The latest update from Day 2 of the €5,300 EPT Paris 2024 ME is that Iyer and Goel are out of the race. Suvarna, Chutani and Madhariwar are battling it out and hope to progress ahead. 

Suvarna, who won his maiden World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) bracelet in November 2023, has a stack of 189,000. Chutani is fighting hard with a stack of 183,000. Madhariwar is short-stacked with just 26,500 left in his kitty.

EPT Paris 2024 ME Flights

Coming to the Indians grinding in the EPT Paris 2024 ME, apart from the abovementioned names, well-known players like Kartik Ved and Ankit Ahuja also participated in this event. They played in the starting flight of Day 1B. But sadly for these two pros, Day 2 did not happen. Suvarna, Goel and Madhariwar made Day 2 via flight Day 1B. Chutani and the WSOP bracelet winner qualified for Day 2 via flight Day 1A.

This tournament generated a prize pool of €8,385,600. The total entries stood at an impressive figure of 1,747. Currently, 266 players are in contention and the average chip stack is 197,030. 52,410,000 is the total number of chips in play. The winner of this prestigious ME title will take home a pay cheque of €1,287,800. The runner-up will have a payday of €804,750.
