More about Zarvan Tumboli
The poker fraternity surely knows of Zarvan Tumboli as the live wire personality who shipped World Poker Tour (WPT) Prime in Hanoi, Vietnam. The poker pro took home a pay cheque of VND 3,048,563,640 (~₹1019439 / $131,394) for his impressive first-place finish. This was Tumboli’s career-best live score from a WPT Prime event.
Tumboli has many live poker titles to his credit which simply translates to him being a tough opponent on the table. Not just WPT, this Parsi man has marked his attendance in the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Asian Poker Tour (APT), and U Series of Poker (USOP) among others.
Tumboli’s records at the live Asian poker series have been quite notable. He shipped the USOP Hanoi Main Event in September 2023 for VND 56,000,000 ($ 2,328 / ₹1,91,370). He also took down WPT Prime Cambodia Event 9 Pot Limit Omaha (PLO) for $7,000 (~₹5.81 Lakh)
The Bombay-based poker player had also participated in WPT Deepstacks hosted in Valkenburg, Netherlands. In August 2018, Tumboli travelled to Rozvadov, for the Indian Poker Series where he finished 11th in the €80 + 10 No Limit Hold’em – TIPS Welcome Event for a payday of around ₹22K (€257).
Talking about WSOP, Tumboli has played five events in WSOP 2023 and cashed in all five of them. When it comes to the Indian live poker series, the poker pro has played events like the India Poker Championship (IPC), Deltin Poker Tournament (DPT), and Baazi Poker Tour (BPT).
In April 2023, Tumboli finished as runner-up in Event 13, Turbo Closer at the WPT Prime India 2023 series. Here, the pro won a prize money of approximately ₹3,55,667.
PLO sure is Tumboli’s bailiwick as he also took the first spot in a PLO event in June 2022. Here, the poker pro took the title spot in the VND 10,000,000 + 1,000,000 Pot Limit Omaha (Event 18) at the APT Vietnam Hanoi Loyal 2022. Tumboli added a sum of ~₹2,38,134 for his win.
On home soil, this poker player won a High Roller at BPT in March 2022 for ₹50.03 Lakh and he came third in DPT July 2017 High Roller for a payday of ₹15,33,600. In January 2020, Tumboli came second in the High Roller tournament at the IPC event in Goa for ₹30.59.
Tumboli’s poker stats speak volumes about his talent and he also added a feather in his cap when he was announced as the Spartan Poker pro by the online poker brand.
