The Poker Dream 8 Malaysia series ended with Zarvan Tumboli being crowned the Main Event champion. The Indian poker pro was the chip lead heading into the Main Event final table with a stack of a little over 18 Million chips.
Tumboli was heads-up after eliminations took place at a quick pace at the final table. This coveted live poker tournament at the Poker Dream 8 Malaysia event had 2,219 entries and Tumboli had managed to stifle competition and grab the prestigious live poker title after some intense action at the tables.
Previously, Tumboli shipped the RM 1,500 NLH event at the series for a sum of RM 37,200 (final prize pool RM 144,045) and added a title to his 2024 list of victories. This one was special as it was the first one for the year and now with the Main Event title, the Mumbai-based pro had proved his mettle in a big way.
The poker pro before making his way to the Poker Dream 8 Malaysia was grinding at the World Poker Tour (WPT) Cambodia 2024 event. This series didn’t witness any heavy action from Tumboli but the player made a heavy-duty return for the Malaysia stop of Poker Dream. Another player and Pocket52 Team Pro Dhaval Mudgal was seen railing for Tumboli at the NLH event. Mudgal was seen grinding at the Turbo and Main Event event.
Coming back to Tumboli, this high stakes poker pro has been shining bright at the Asian poker series. Be it Poker Dream, Vietnam Series of Poker (VSOP) or Asian Poker Tour (APT), Tumboli has registered victories like a boss. This time was no different in Malaysia. It remains to be seen which live poker series this pro heads next to and ships marquee titles.
