Spartan Poker pro Zarvan Tumboli has travelled to Las Vegas for his first-ever World Series of Poker (WSOP). And a recent picture shared by Tumboli is raising a lot of curiosity. Why? Just check out the image; you’ll know!
Well, it’s not what it looks like. Tumboli captioned the image as “Fake it, till you make it.” The WPT Prime Vietnam 2022 Main Event winner has not yet shipped a WSOP title, but we won’t be surprised if he does so in the coming days. As far as the picture is concerned, the lively player was just posing with a stack of cash at a photo booth at the Horseshoe and Paris Casino, the WSOP venue.
The Mumbai-based player is playing his first-ever WSOP series this year after enjoying a good run in the Asian circuit last year. He has been sharing regular updates about his games and whereabouts in Sin City.
He also shared a couple of pictures from the venue posing alongside the WSOP logo and some pictures at the events. In one of the pictures, he shared his buy-in slips and wrote, “First of the summer! Mixed NLH/PLO it is. The room is buzzinggg and I can’t put it in words how overwhelmed I am to be playing a WSOP tournament!” (sic).
Tumboli was most recently seen grinding at the Asian Poker Tour (APT) Summer Series in Hanoi, Vietnam, 2023. He narrowly missed his APT title after finishing second at the NLH Hyper Turbo 8 Max event.
Apart from Tumboli, other Indians, including Akshay Nasa, Nishant Sharma, Ankit Ahuja, Siddharth Karia and others, are also in Vegas for the WSOP. PokerBaazi pros Abhishekh Goindi and Muskan Sethi are on their way, while India’s only Triton poker champion Santhosh Suvarna is expected to fly to the United States later next week.
