Ashish Munot And Zarvan Tumboli Narrowly Miss APT Titles


The Asian Poker Tour (APT) Summer Series Hanoi, Vietnam, 2023 has finally concluded. Three Indian pros, namely Ashish Munot, Zarvan Tumboli and Jasven Saigal, narrowly missed the final APT titles on the last day of the series.

Munot, who ran deep in the High Roller, missed the coveted title after he finished third at the event. After leading the final table (FT) on multiple occasions, Munot once again finished close at the event. Once again, because in the past one year he has had eight final table finishes, all four or better. Nonetheless, he cashed VND 1,217,310,000 (₹42,75,579) for his efforts.

The High Roller was a two-day event with a buy-in of VND 80,000,000. It attracted a total of 166 entries who chipped in to create a prize pool of VND 11,593,440,000.

Similarly, in one of the side events, Event #47: Hyper Turbo, Spartan Poker Pro Zarvan Tumboli fell just short of the title after finishing runner-up to Vietnam’s Ta Nhat Vu. Tumboli cashed VND 66,000,000 (₹2,31,840) at this VND 15,000,000 buy-in event. The event had a total of 18 entries contributing to a prize pool of VND 235,710,000.
