Vinayak Bajaj Ships Maiden APT Title At the Summer Series Hanoi 2023

India’s Vinayak Bajaj has claimed his maiden live poker title by taking down Event #7 Turbo – 8 Max at the Asian Poker Tour (APT) Summer Series Hanoi 2023. The series is currently underway at Grand Loyal Poker Club in Hanoi, Vietnam. 

Bajaj, who is a regular online poker player in India with several online titles to his name, grabbed his first-ever live title at the event. He outlasted a field of 19 players, who paid a buy-in of VND12,000,000 to play this event. The final prize pool of VND 199,044,000 was distributed among the top four players.

The top three settled for an ICM deal, wherein Bajaj was guaranteed a payout of at least VND 59,480,000, with Trung Thuy Duong taking home VND 58,190,000, while Rikuto Sashida was assured VND 50,735,000. The trio, however, continued play for the title, trophy and a further VND 6,749,000 in cash.

Vinayak Bajaj Triumphs Over All Odds To Be A Millionaire 

Eventually, Bajaj emerged victorious and bagged the shiny APT trophy and a paycheque of VND 83,594,000 (₹2,94,250).

2. Trung Thuy Duong (Vietnam) – VND 55,730,000
3. Rikuto Sashida (Japan) – VND 50,735,000
4. Hyun Sup Kim (South Korea) – VND 23,890,000
