Zarvan Tumboli Ships APPT Cambodia Mini Main Event

The year is turning out to be huge for Spartan Poker pro Zarvan Tumboli, who seems to be on title (and trophy) hunt. After clinching four international titles earlier, the pro has now got his fifth one in the form of the PokerStars $300 Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT Cambodia) Mini Main Event.

The $300 buy-in event saw a total of 89 entries (60 unique entries and 20 re-entries). The event saw a prize pool of $22,523 , which was distributed among the top 11 places. Tumboli took home a lion’s share of $6,193 from the prize pool along with the PokerStars spade trophy. 

The Mumbai-based player has made it to three final tables at the ongoing series. And as they say ‘third time’s the charm,’ Tumboli managed to emerge victorious on the final table and clinch the top spot in his third FT appearance. He beat Taiwan’s Maggie Weng in the heads-up. Weng was denied her second series title, as she finished runner-up for $4,403.

This Tumboli’s sixth title of the year, and the fifth international one. Tumboli first shipped the Baazi Poker Tour (BPT) High Roller in March 2022. Then he clinched the World Poker Tour (WPT) Prime Vietnam 2022 Main Event title in May this year. Later in June he shipped the Asian Poker Tour (APT) Vietnam Deep StackHyper Turbo event and the Pot Limit Omaha (PLO) title within 24 hours. Next he nailed another PLO event at WPT Prime Cambodia 2022 in August. This APPT title also happens to be his second-ever PokerStars title back in 2017.
