Photo Of The Day: Zarvan Tumboli’s Fanboy Moment With Phil Ivey

Zarvan Tumboli is having a great time while grinding at the World Poker Tour (WPT) World Championship 2022 in Las Vegas. He has been exploring the city, the Wynn Las Vegas casino, the restaurants around the city and playing some good poker too. Apart from this he has also been meeting and interacting with some of the top poker legends who are also grinding at WPT’s inaugural World Championship series. 

A couple of days ago, Tumboli shared a picture with the ‘Prince of Poker,’ Scotty Nguyen. The WPT Prime Main Event winner also shared that he had a fun time with the pro at the tables and also shared a video of a fun interaction with Nguyen. 

Today, the Mumbai-based player met the GOAT of poker Phil Ivey. He described the encounter as a fanboy moment. He shared a selfie with the 10-time World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet winner and captioned it saying, “One with the OG 🐐” (sic), alongside #Fanboying in his Instagram Story

Tumboli met the poker pro while playing the Main tournament. The Mumbai-based player busted from the event and then moved to the WPT World Championship $1,600 No Limit Hold’em Bounty Turbo event. He claimed his first cash in the series after finishing at the 38th position along with the prize money and three bounties worth $1,500.

Phil Ivey was signed as the brand ambassador of the WPT last month. He made a stylish entry at the Main event. Phil Hellmuth also entered the event today around the late registration period.

The WPT World Championship runs between 12th to 20th December 2022. The series is an inaugural edition by the WPT, and features a record-breaking prize pool guarantee of $15 Million. Ivey busted at Level 10 when blinds were 2,000/4,000, big blind ante 4,000. 370 survivors will battle it out for a final prize pool worth $29,008,000, with top six players assured a pay cheque of at least $1 million each.
