Considered amongst the best poker players in India, Akshay Nasa is a Delhi-based poker pro veteran in the Asian poker circuit. Nasa’s recorded live cash came at the World Series of Poker (WSOP). Playing at the No Limit Hold ’em (NLH) event in 2017, Nasa finished in the 206th position to pocket $2,679. Since then, he has featured in various live events across the Asian continent.

His fame rose exponentially after recording a second-place finish at the Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) NLH event in Manila to win $53,197 in 2018. He followed it up by shipping the Deepstack Turbo event at the World Poker Tour (WPT) Vietnam in 2018 to pocket $6,208 a few months later.

2019 proved to be a fruitful year for him as the Indian poker pro registered a 2nd-place finish at the NLH Monster Stack event in the PPPoker Festival World Championship to win $4,268. He also went on to ship the NLH Superstack Turbo at WPT Vietnam to win $4,126 before recording runner-up place in the APT Manila NLH High Rollers event to win $15,150. Nasa shipped the NLH Main Event during APT 2019 to win $64,334 before finishing second in APT NLH High Rollers to pocket $ 15,065 in November 2019.

His best live cash came in May 2023 when Nasa finished second in the NLH APT Main Event during the APT Summer Series Hanoi, to win $90,133. It was also the same year that he featured for the Mumbai-based franchise in Poker Sports League (PSL) 2023.

Known to be a player who grinds online and live, He has multiple nicknames on the virtual felts; he is widely known as ‘sherlock52’ or ‘Vibaks’ as well as ‘youcantcallme; alongside ‘GGGenius’ on various Indian poker platforms.

According to PokerGuru, Nasa’s largest online score sits at ₹7,52,515 for shipping the Thursday Prime event during the India Online Poker Championship (IOPC) on Spartan Poker in June 2022. He has also won multiple titles online, like Adda52 Mega Suits in 2018, Sunday SuperStack in 2018, IOPC 2020, and Adda52 Millions – 6 Max and PLO 5 Highroller on PokerBaazi.
