9Stacks is a company that’s been in the Indian online poker scene for quite some time now. They have gained a decent player-base and have their trust incorporated in them, which is the most important element in the real money gaming environment.
They just recently upped their tournament line-up, introducing their INR 5 Lakhs GTD feature tournaments every day of the week. The event is called the ‘Prime Time @ 8’. Their very popular Sunday Stacks also got a boost in the guaranteed prize pool by INR 5 Lakhs.
Yesterday’s ‘Wednesday Stacks’ started at the decided 8 pm. The event drew a total of 78 entries, including 28 re-buys, which didn’t have a maximum cap. The buy-in of the tournament was set at INR 3,300, and a total of 15 players were paid out.
The well-known poker pro Akshay Nasa shipped the tournament, taking home a sizeable INR 1,35,000 as 1st place cash prize. He plays on 9Stacks under the pseudonym ‘Rahuldravid’, so, no prizes for guessing who his favourite cricketer is. Nasa is someone who needs no introduction, but for the sake of any new entrants into the scene, he has a multitude of online titles in his bag already and has also cashed out respectable amounts in live poker.
While other pros were probably engaged at other well-known platforms, Nasa decided to try his luck and test his skills on 9Stacks. This shipment of 1.35 Lakhs is obviously one more feather in his already filled cap but also a significant addition to his bankroll which will help him play in more upcoming tournaments.
The runner-up of the Wednesday Stacks was Bhavye Mittal aka ‘Noobpro’. He took home INR 95,000 from 9Stacks for his 2nd place finish, an amount that is a welcome addition to any new player’s bankroll. Third to finish in the event was Praveen Kandela aka ‘praveenchandcr7’, taking home INR 70,000. A perfect winning prize for the Cristiano Ronaldo fan.
