More about Sahil Chutani
Sahil Chutani is one of the country’s most talked about poker pros. Hailing from Delhi, this Indian poker player has recorded excellent performances on poker tables and virtual felts to make a name for himself in the domestic and Asian poker circuits.
Chutani picked up the game during his college days when he used to play with game chips, which seemed like a cool thing to do before he started to play online in 2013.
After busting his bankroll multiple times, he received guidance from Abhishek Rathod and started progressing as a player. He decided to play poker full-time at the start of 2015 and has been doing well ever since. Chutani’s first recorded live performance came in 2015 when he played in the India Poker Championship (IPC) and registered a 15th-place finish in the NLH Main Event to earn ₹52,000 ($812).
The Delhi poker pro shipped his first live title next year by winning the Kickoff Event at the (IPC) 2016 and earned ₹3,65,000 ($5,316). He followed it up with a 3rd place finish in the IPC NLH Turbo event to pocket ₹1,30,000 ($1,888).
He also had successful outings at the Deltin Poker Tournament (DPT) alongside other series, namely the Macau Poker Cup, World Poker Tour (WPT) India, Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT), and European Poker Tour (EPT) Barcelona.
2023 was a fruitful year for Chutani as he shipped the coveted Deltin Poker Tournament (DPT) October 2023 Main Event title for ₹20,19,109. He also won the France Poker Series (FPS) NLH Main Event to win €110,400 ($119,910). Chutani enjoys listening to music and catching up with friends when away from the grind.
Currently ranked amongst the top 30 players in India, it remains to see how Chutani spins the game and wins more poker titles.
