IOPC June 2022: Players Who Won Multiple Titles

India Online Poker Championship (IOPC) is one of the biggest poker series in the country. Offering over 100 tournaments twice annually, the series is about pride, bragging rights, and of course, pocketing truckloads of money. In the 13th edition of the series, an impressive ₹33 Crore guaranteed series prize pool was up for grabs. This poker festival which ran from 2nd to 19th June was packed with all things drama and intense action on the virtual felts of Spartan Poker, PokerHigh, and Blitzpoker. The ₹1 Crore leaderboard was the talk of the town until Bhanu Prakash topped it for the fourth time in five successive series with a whopping ₹30 Lakh getting added to his bankroll along with the coveted ‘Player of the Series’ title.

Just as the climax of a film is what people look forward to eagerly, ₹4 Crore GTD IOPC Main Event – The Crown was the biggest gem in the crown. Saurabh Rohila, who won the Super Highroller in this edition, also shipped the Main Event and left everyone awestruck with his impeccable performance.

IOPC June 2022 was a memorable affair for all the players, but it must’ve been a significant success for those who clinched more than one title each. Although we knew that players like leaderboard veteran Bhanu Prakash, Mohit Mehta, Sahil Chutani are well-known grinders from the industry and will definitely walk away with titles, underdogs like Rahul Kumar, Mohit Savargaonkar, Jay Prajapati, and others clearly stole the show this season. Dinesh Plikhwal who pocketed four titles finished as runner-up in the ₹1 Crore leaderboard while Gopal Bajaj who also won four titles was on the 10th spot of the Leaderboard.

Although the aforementioned players and  Saurabh Rohila have four titles to their names, Rohila and Sahil Chutani pocketed large amounts in prize money. Rohila who shipped the ME and the Super High Roller thickened his bankroll with over ₹92 Lakhs from the four events he shipped while Chutani took home over ₹40 lakh after shipping two events.
