Poker brands had some of their highly awaited weekly tournaments this Thursday. Many poker players entered the online felts, with some unknown players shipping the day’s high value tournaments. Here’s a full report on the action that went down.
Adda52’s Godfather tournament is one of the most awaited events of the week with its INR 25 Lakh prize pool. The event had a buy-in of INR 5,500 and had a total of 545 entries participating in the field. The advertised prize pool was surpassed with INR 27,25,021 being the final prize pool. The top 55 places were paid a min-cash of INR 12,263. It was player ‘RohitVaswani’ who shipped the tournament with INR 6,54,000 in winnings. Gaurav Sood aka ‘gauravarod’ was the runner-up with INR 3,81,500 in prize money.
Spartan Poker’s tournament highlight of the day was the Trending Thursday event. A total of 599 entries participated in the tournament which had a buy-in of INR 3,850. The advertised guarantee of INR 16 Lakh was crushed and the final prize pool stood at INR 20,96,500. The top 47 places were paid a min-cash of INR 11,950. It was player ‘Flahoolick’ who shipped this Thursday event and took home INR 4,08,607 in prize money. Armaan Kochhar aka ‘space ace’ was the runner-up with INR 2,59,546 in prize money.
Players were reaching new heights with PokerBaazi’s The Summit tournament which had a buy-in INR 8,250. Registering a total of 237 entries in the field, the event also managed to crush the original prize pool and recorded the final one as INR 17,77,000. The top 27 entries earn a piece of this prize pool with each getting a min-cash of INR 14,750. It was online reg Sahil Chutani aka ‘bluffme19’ who won INR 4,18,000 in prize money. Chutani defeated Anmol Narang aka ‘airball’ who came in second with INR 2,93,000 in winnings.
