Ashish Munot, Arjanveer Singh, Sahil Chutani Among Title Clinchers!


Poker players flocked to the online felts to grind in some of the top high-value tournaments. Many online regs were playing on platforms like Spartan Poker, PokerBaazi, and Adda52. Pros like Mohit Mehta, Arjanveer Singh, Sahil Chutani, Ashish Munot among others were top title clinchers. Here’s a full lowdown of the action.

Destiny – ₹22 Lakh GTD

Spartan Poker hosted its Destiny event which had a ₹22 Lakh initial guarantee. The tournament welcomed a total of 470 entries out of which 234 were unique players, 77 were re-entries, and 159 were re-buys. The ₹5,500 buy-in tournament crushed its advertised guarantee and a final prize pool worth ₹23,50,000 was generated. The top 39 places were paid and the min-cash was ₹16,215. Arjanveer Singh Chadha aka ‘bazzingaa’ shipped the event and had a payday of ₹4,71,175. The runner-up was ‘d0nkish’ who went home with ₹3,13,255 in prize money.

Wednesday High Roller – ₹20 Lakh GTD

The other high-value tournament on Spartan Poker was the Wednesday High Roller which drew in 93 unique players, 40 re-entries, and 40 rebuys. This brought the total number of participants to 173. The event had a buy-in of ₹16,500 and crushed its original guarantee. The final prize pool was ₹25,95,000. The top 17 places were paid and the min-cash was ₹40,741. Online reg Sahil Chutani aka ‘$lim$hady19’ clinched the title and pocketed ₹6,52,902 in prize money. The runner-up was player ‘Billy_Hargrove’ who walked away with ₹4,41,150.

Maverick – ₹15 Lakh GTD

The Maverick on Adda52 had a total of 592 entries from which 294 were unique players and 298 were re-entries. The tournament had a ₹2,750 buy-in and in the end, the top 63 places were paid. The min-cash of ₹3,750 was given. Mystery player ‘Ronima1978’ shipped the event and won ₹3,82,500 in the process. The runner-up was ‘payoffwiz’ who went home with ₹2,17,500.

APT #29 – PKO ₹5 Lakh GTD

The APT Online Series India 2022 continued on PokerBaazi. The APT PKO tournament had a ₹5 Lakh guarantee and the total number of entries 437. This was made up of 234 unique players and 203 re-entries. The top 77 places were paid and the min-cash was ₹2,130. Devrat Singh aka ‘skshivam43’ took home the title and added ₹97,340 to his bankroll. The runner-up was Neeraj Bajaj aka ‘nbara’ and he walked away with ₹68,440.

APT #30 Mini Main Event – ₹75 Lakh GTD

The APT Mini Main Event was one of the biggest tournaments of the day. The event had a ₹8,250 buy-in and an advertised guarantee of ₹75 Lakh. There were a total of 913 entries out of which 486 registered players and 427 re-entries. In the end, the top 108 made the money and the min-cash was ₹12,750. Online reg Ashish Munot aka ‘OMG_spew’ shipped the Mini Main Event and had a payday of ₹13,13,000. Following him in runner-up position was Anmol Mehta aka ‘anzzzzz’ who got ₹9,20,000 in winnings.

APT #31 Superstack – ₹15 Lakh GTD

The event had a buy-in worth ₹3,300 and even crushed its original guarantee. The final prize pool was ₹24,09,000. In the end, the top 99 players finished in the money, and they took home at least a min-cash of ₹4,580. Ravinder Singh aka ‘Ravikirti’ grabbed the tournament title after a two-way deal and went home with ₹4,10,000. The runner-up was ‘guaravfrisky’ who walked away with ₹3,18,000 in prize money.

The final prize pool was ₹14,40,000 which crushed the initial guarantee. The buy-in of the event was ₹2,700. The top 72 places were paid and the min-cash was ₹4,460. Mohit Mehta aka ‘thejoker’ took home the winning title and ₹2,51,000 in prize money. Mayank Maruka aka ‘Newsolidcash’ was the runner-up and went home with ₹2,12,000.
