Ankit Ahuja is considered to be amongst the best poker players in India. The Delhi based star has managed to make waves in the Indian live poker circuit. A former product development manager at PokerStars, Ahuja shot to fame in 2019 when he shipped the $1,100 No Limit Hold’em – MonsterStack (Event #75) DeepStack Championship Poker Series to win $330,134.

Around four years later, Ahuja recorded his biggest live cash at the European Poker Tour (EPT) Cyprus 2023 $1,100 Eureka Main Event. This first place finish earned him $362,365 (₹3,01,46,703) which remains to be his best live cash. The Indian poker pro battled against a massive field of 2,659 entries to defeat Eduard Norel in heads-up and win his first-ever EPT title. 

He also made a splash at the EPT €1,000 + 100 No Limit Hold’em – EPT Main Event (Event #1) in August 2023, recording a 5th place finish to pocket €177,810 ($193,412 /₹1,60,99,324). According to Hendon Mob, the poker pro has been a veteran in the card game with his first ever records of cashing in live poker tournaments dating back to July 2011, when he participated in the Mega Stack Series.

This Indian player has participated in series like the European Poker Tour (EPT), World Series of Poker (WSOP),World Poker Tour (WPT), Asian Poker Tour (APT), Deltin Poker Tournament (DPT), among others. Ankit Ahuja has also played at the biggest stage on a number of occasions with the poker pro being one of the most successful players from India at the WSOP. He has recorded 37 cashes from WSOP so far with his total earnings in the biggest poker tournament series sitting at $288,516.

He is said to have learned poker while he was studying in college and since has never turned back. The dog lover is known for his no nonsense attitude and aggressive approach to the game. After transitioning from a tech and business consultant in the gaming industry to playing poker,  Ahuja has accumulated $1,818,354 in total live winnings.

Ahuja is occupying the 4th spot on the Hendon Mob’s India All Time Money List. It is also worth noting that Ahuja is amongst the top 1,500 players in the world, ranked 1,342 on the All Time Money List.
