Wednesday Roundup: Kanchan Sharma Ships Destiny For An Impressive 7 Lakh


India Online Poker Championship (IOPC) July 2021 may have ended, but the high value tournaments on Spartan Poker haven’t. The platform continues to offer some of the biggest and action-packed tournaments and the players continue to grind hard on that platform. Two high-value tournaments were hosted yesterday along with several smaller tourneys. Let’s have a look at the action of last night.

Destiny – ₹23 Lakh GTD

The Destiny event on Spartan Poker was bustling with action as some of the biggest names in Indian poker scene were battling it out. The Destiny attracted 530 entries who crushed the initial guarantee to generate a final prize pool of ₹26,50,000. The top 40 places enjoyed a portion of the final prize pool and drew a min-cash of ₹15,900.

Kanchan Sharma aka ‘Midge Maisel’ shipped the tournament for an impressive ₹7,02,250. IOPC United winner Piyush Jain aka ‘jacks_apart’ finished second for ₹4,37,250. Gokul Murugesan aka ‘gokul5381’ finished third for ₹2,65,000 with two re-entries.

IOPC The Crown Main Event runner-up Aditya Agarwal aka ‘Yennnefer’ grabbed the fourth spot for ₹1,66,950, while The Crown final table contender Vinay Rajpal finished 5th for ₹1,19,250. Vivek Singh busted at the 11th spot for ₹31,800. ‘borntrouble’ finished 16th for ₹23,850, IOPC July 2021 leaderboard runner-up Bhanu Prakash finished 17th for ₹23,850, Aman Parakh finished 22nd for ₹21,200, Ashish Ahuja finished 26th for ₹18,550, Gutshot’s January 2021 cover star Gaurav Sood finished 27th for 18,550 and IOPC Legends winner Amit Gehani with two re-entries finished 36th for ₹15,900.

Players who busted without making in the money included IOPC The Crown final table contender Ankit Bajaj at the 44th spot, Guruprasad Gupta at the 46th spot, IOPC July 2021 leaderboard winner Anuj Yadav at the 47th spot, IOPC Highroller winner Mohit Bhati at the 58th place, Neel Joshi at the 59th spot, Siddharth Gangwar at the 63rd spot, IOPC PLO Highroller winner and Mastermind runner-up Avadh Shah at the 68th place, Wednesday Vibes winner, Chirag Sodha at the 70th place, Mohit Mehta at the 71st place, IOPC January 2021 Masterminds and Millionaire Legends winner Aniket Waghmare at the 73rd place and Vishnu Khandelwal at the 76th spot. Players like IOPC legends final table contender Sumit Sapra and runner-up Arsh Grover busted at the 78th and 79th place respectively. Millionaire United winner Siddhanth Kripalani busted with two re-entries at the 83rd place. Sahil Mahboobani also busted at the 86th spot without any money. IOPC January 2021 Main Event winner, Laksh Pal Singh busted at the 121st spot without any money.

Wednesday Vibes – ₹6 Lakh GTD

Spartan Poker’s Wednesday Vibes was also an action-packed tourney. The 467 entries crushed the advertised guarantee. The final prize pool stood at ₹7,00,500, while the top 39 places took home a min-cash of ₹4,833.

Chirag Sodha aka ‘chilling’ clinched the title and took home a pay cheque of ₹1,25,329. Sreekanth Narayan aka ‘GL1DE’ took the runner-up spot for ₹1,08,497. Anonymous player ‘Sadesai’ finished third for ₹68,298.

Saurabh Rohila finished 8th for ₹17,652, while Shawn Jose finished 15th for ₹9,666. Online reg Arsh Grover busted at the 17th place for ₹8,616. Ashish Kumar finished 21st for ₹6,864, while Anmol Mehta finished 22nd for ₹6,864. IOPC July 2021 leaderboard winner Anuj Yadav finished at the 29th place for ₹5,463 and Mohit Mehta busted 36th for ₹4,833.

Meet Jariwala was the bubble boy at this tourney as he busted at the 40th spot. WPT Wednesday Rush winner, Ankit Wadhawan busted 44th without any money. Peter Nazareth at the 48th spot, Vivek Singh at the 50th spot, Guruprasad Gupta at the 82nd spot, Gutshot’s Player of the Month, Anirban Das at the 83rd spot, Sahil Mahbobbani at the 88th spot, Amit Gehani at the 95th spot, Bharath Kumar at the 102nd spot, Aman Parakh at the 106th spot and IOPC United second runner-up Neeraj Kumar also busted at 124th spot for no money.
