Pocket52 PSL Season 5: Grand Finale Will See The Best Team Win The Coveted Title

Pocket52 Poker Sports League (PSL) Season 5 promised a ₹1.5 Crore GTD prize pool + ₹50 Lakh in prizes, kicked-off with the online qualifiers on 4th May, and saw a total of 31,000+ entries. The Grand Finale will unfold from 17th to 20th August 2023.

The much-awaited season five of this popular poker league will see the top six teams aim for the ultimate glory. Currently, the top two teams are Delhi Czars and Goan Nuts with both teams tied at 104 points respectively.

The team that sits third is Lucknow Kings with 97 points. Mumbai Anchors placed fourth with 91 points. Deccan Aces are fifth (82 points) and Gujarat Falcons are sixth in line with 62 points in their kitty. 

Just a couple of days ago, poker pro Dhaval Mudgal won the captains match for Goan Nuts fetching five points for his team. Another well-known name from the Indian poker circuit—Shardul Parthasarathi is placed second with four points.

The competition in the grand finale is going to be fierce with some tough tournaments lined up from 17th to 20th August 2023. Most importantly, all eyes will be on the Main Event multi table tournament (MTT). This crucial event will be hosted on 18th August at 3 PM. 17th August will have Mix SNGs and Category SNGs scheduled for 12 Noon and 6 PM respectively. 19th August is when the grand finale will be in motion from 12 PM onwards.

Grand Finale Ranking

When it comes to the ranking in the grand finale, teams will be given a starting stack as per their ranks. First rank will receive a starting stack of 250 big blinds (BB) i.e. 500,000 chips. Take a look below at the table for starting stacks. In case of a tie, the team with a better average rank across the league (SNG+MTT) will be placed higher than the other.
