Vaibhav Sharma’s Deccan Aces Will Look To Take PSL 5 By Storm


The Pocket52 Poker Sports League (PSL) Season 5 is among the most highly anticipated events of the year. It’s the second leg of the League, where teams are finalized and ready to battle each other for the ultimate glory.
The Pocket52 PSL 5 auction was recently hosted at Novotel Hotel and Spa in Goa.

This star-studded auction ceremony saw 34 qualifiers going under the hammer, with the captains and owners of six teams bidding for them, which included three woman qualifiers and 15 pros. After close to five hours of intense bidding, all the franchises had finalised their team members, with quite a few stars being sold for 9x their base price.

This year have the following teams:

  • Deccan Aces
  • Delhi Czars
  • Goan Nuts
  • Gujarat Falcons
  • Lucknow Kings
  • Mumbai Anchors

Firstly, let’s have a look at the Deccan Aces Poker Sports League (PSL) Season 5 team.

Deccan Aces team: Vaibhav Sharma ©, Mithun Mahesh, Arjanveer Singh Chadha, Ishita Arora, Arjun Singh Bhadauriya, Mohsin Shaikh, Sanjay Sethi, Kashish Durgiya, Kapeesh Chaubey, Ram Ratan Jangid, and Kunal Patni.

Owners: Sam Reddy, Vijay Madduri

To start off, the Deccan Aces had a great run in the previous edition as they managed to end up in second place, with the Kolkata Kings emerging victorious last time around. This team will be eager to cross the final hurdle this time around and have created a team that can make it happen.

Captained by Vaibhav Sharma, this contingent consists of the two most expensive players sold in the auction. Mohsin Shaikh (₹3,20,000) and Kapeesh Chaubey (₹3,00,000) find themselves ranked 8th and 10th in the most expensive player list for the PSL 5.

Apart from Sharma, Mithun Mahesh and Arjanveer Singh Chadha join as the two pros with Kunal Patni being the wild card pick. Arjun Singh Bhadauriya, Mohsin Shaikh, Sanjay Sethi, Kapeesh Chaubey, Kashish Durgiya, Ram Ratan Jangid make it as the qualifiers picks while Ishita Arora walks in as the Women qualifiers member to complete the team.

This team is a good mixture of talent and experience. It remains interesting to see how they fare in the upcoming season of the Pocket52 Poker Sports League Season 5.
