The virtual finale of the Pocket52 Poker Sports League (PSL) Season 5 is all set to take place from 22nd July onwards. The auction for teams took place at Novotel Hotel and Spa on 8th July in Goa as team captains and owners competed for nearly five hours in some intense bidding action.

Romit Advani has been named as the leader of a very strong team which sees Kanchan Sharma slot in as the wildcard pick. Shuchi Chamaria remains to be the retained player in the team who will also take up the Women Qualifiers spot in the upcoming edition.

Kanishka Samant (₹2,60,000) and Zarvan Tumboli (₹2,50,000) join the team as pros. It is also worth noting that Gujarat Falcons have the most expensive qualifier of PSL season 5. Akshay Kapoor (₹4,50,000) tops the list for being the most expensive star at the recently concluded PSL Season 5 Auction.

The likes of Ashutosh Yadav, Adwait Pol, Kanishka Samant, Penumacha Srinivas Raju, Bhairab Ghosh, and Shivakumar Koudishetra fill up the qualifiers’ spots.

Gujarat Falcons finished as runners-up on the team leaderboard in the 4th edition of Poker Sports League. They will look to make it past the virtual stages and cement their slot for the live finale, which is set to take place between 16th to 20th August 2023. With a solid team roster in the bag, it remains interesting to see if they can go all the way in this upcoming edition of Poker Sports League.
