Who Will Win PokerBaazi’s First G.O.A.T Title?

When it comes to big tournaments with never seen before guarantees, PokerBaazi sure knows how to do it right. The online poker brand has become one of India’s most well-known and beloved platforms to play poker. This year, PokerBaazi is celebrating its eight-year anniversary. As a huge ‘thank-you gift’ to all the players who have supported the brand through the years, it is hosting one of India’s biggest poker tournaments, The Greatest of All Tournaments (G.O.A.T).

The humongous tournament surely lives up to its name as it offers ₹7 Crore in total guarantee! And let’s be very clear, this is a single tournament guarantee, and not a series. Epic, right? From 30th October to 9th November, players will have a fantastic opportunity to win PokerBaazi’s G.O.A.T title. The tournament name is a play on the title of ‘Greatest of All Time,’ which is given to a person who is at the top of their game. Which begs the question, who will become the Poker G.O.A.T in this mega tournament?

While we’ll have to wait till the end of the event on 9th November to find out who the winner is, we made a list of online grinders who have good potential to clinch the prestigious title. Going through our recent archives of online tournament winnings in the past month, we’ve come up with our own list of potential winners. Let’s see if we can hit the nail on the head with this one.

1. Vishal Bajaj

IOPC Day 12: Amarjeet Singh Clinches Two Titles In A Day!

Vishal Bajaj

Vishal Bajaj is on top of his game right now. Since September 2022, he’s so far clinched five titles across poker platforms. Out of which two were on the felts of PokerBaazi. He took down The Summit for ₹5,31,817 and the Endeavour for ₹2,62,820. He also clinched the Highroller on PokerStars for ₹2,23,336, the Maverick on Adda52 for ₹3,82,500, and the ₹1 Crore GTD ITM Blizzard Day on Spartan Poker for ₹15,65,195. Not to mention his other cashes in the runner-up position at Spartan Poker’s India Turbo Masters for ₹3,89,025 and most recently, 2nd on PokerStars’ Highroller for ₹1,84,374. If he continues this amazing performance perhaps, we can see him win PokerBazzi’s G.O.A.T.

2. Vinayak Bajaj

Saurabh Rohila Ships Spartan Poker’s Tuesday High Roller For 5.62 Lakh

 Vinayak Bajaj

Another online reg that can’t seem to escape our radar is Vinayak Bajaj who has also performed quite well this year. He may not have clinched as many titles as Bajaj in the last month, but his performance so far has been brilliant. One of his most notable wins has been taking home the coveted Millionaire Main Event title on Spartan Poker for an eye-popping ₹31,77,114 in prize money. This feat alone is incredible with the sheer number of players he had to beat for the top spot. He then went on to clinch the Adda52 Millions for ₹5,89,226, and the Sunday Superstack on Spartan Poker for ₹7,37,775. On PokerStars, he shipped the Sunday Highroller for ₹2,51,174. He also made it to various final tables and can really hold his own. We’re pretty confident about this online reg’s ability and so he makes to the list as well.

3. Saransh Garg

Saransh Garg

Saransh Garg

Since the start of 2022, Saransh Garg has been somewhat of a breakout star in our eyes. Even though he’s one of the players who started their professional poker journey recently, he’s already achieved a lot in a short amount of time. We even listed him under one of the players to look out for in 2022, and oh boy he did not disappoint. His online performances have been impressive. Looking at September 2022 alone, he shipped the Saturday Millionaire for ₹10,00,000, was the runner-up for ₹9,04,271 at the Sunday Millionaire, he clinched the Tuesday High Roller on Spartan Poker for ₹4,78,040, and even won his first Destiny title for ₹3,73,333 on Spartan Poker. His last number one win was at the Wednesday Big on Spartan Poker for ₹6,37,806. Given that he’s a rising pro on the felts, he’s surely a good contender for the PokerBaazi G.O.A.T title.

4. Samay Modi

Samay Singh Modi

Samay Modi

We can’t deny that Samay Modi is slowly but surely taking over the online felts and we’re here for it. After watching him play at India Poker Championship (IPC) Megastacks May 2022, where he also won a Gutshot raffle (just saying!), we had to keep up with him. In the past month, Modi has managed to clinch three titles, the Millionaire Series Event #22 for ₹1,35,096 on Spartan Poker, PokerBaazi’s Daily Value Boost for ₹1,69,000, and the DCS Mid The Rocket on Spartan Poker for ₹2,07,590. Granted, his wins may not be as big as some of the others on this list, but he has heart and a burning passion for poker. But Modi wasn’t quite done yet, he also won PokerHigh’s Player Hunt Season 2! Damn! So, that pretty much confirms that if he wants to, he can definitely grab the G.O.A.T title.

5. Arsh Grover

Arsh Grover

Arsh Grover

I mean, need we say more? Arsh Grover is really killing it at the online and offline felts. Not only is this poker pro clocking in some pretty big wins on the online domestic circuit, he’s also making a mark internationally when he won PokerGO’s Stairway to Millions Event #3 for $12,510 (~₹10,29,397). Coming back to his online wins, Grover has shipped Spartan Poker’s Sunday Supersonic for ₹8,50,421 and PokerBaazi’s The Big Show for ₹1,98,801. Even though he’s touring the world to play live events, Grover has shown that he can still shine on the virtual felts as well. If he does decide to participate in PokerBaazi’s epic G.O.A.T event, he’s got a solid chance at bringing it home.

So, that was our list of players who we will be watching out for on PokerBaazi’s G.O.A.T ₹7 Crore GTD. We do have a special mention to add to this list, which is Anmol Mehta as he shipped PokerBaazi’s ₹1 Crore GTD The Moneymaker for ₹16,13,000. Mehta already clinched one of the platform’s biggest tournaments, who’s to say he won’t do it again?

We’re quite aware that players like Arjanveer Singh Chadha, Anuj Yadav, Ashish Ahuja, Kunal Patni, Aditya Sushant, Abhishek Goindi, and many other top pros are also strong competitors for the title and with a guarantee like that, many of them will definitely try to claim the title. If you disagree with our list and have a list of your top five players, then leave a comment and let us know. Meanwhile, if you think you’re the next G.O.A.T, sign up on PokerBaazi and prove it!
