Tuesday Roundup: Rajeev Kumar Grabs Spartan Poker’s Megastack Title For ₹3.4 Lakh


WPT and APT are going full blast. But that didn’t deter the players from heading to the virtual felts of Spartan Poker and PokerStars for some high value tournaments. Pro players battled it out to make the most out of the night. Let’s take a look at what the night looked like.

The Race – ₹6.75 Lakh

Spartan Poker’s The Race was indeed a thrilling race for the top spots. The tournament witnessed 378 entries battling it out. The top 31 places were paid a min-cash of ₹5,940.

Mystery player ‘PradhanLi’ clinched the title and pocketed ₹1,42,762. At the runner-up spot was mystery player ‘OfcourseOfcourse’ who grabbed the highest five figure deal of ₹96,120, while ‘chiku10’ grabbed ₹67,770 at the third spot. 

IOPC Legends runner-up, Arsh Grover finished fourth for ₹54,945. Shashank Desai busted at the 11th spot for ₹12,352. Anmol Mehta finished at the 15th place for ₹9,990, while Vivekk Dube grabbed ₹7,965 at the 20th spot. Vivek Singh also made the money by finishing 22nd for ₹7,290.

Aman Parakh was the bubble boy in this tourney as he busted at the 32nd place. Guruprasad Gupta busted at the 41st place without making any money. Nirmal Sankhala busted at the 49th place. Gutshot’s June 2021 e-magazine cover star, Siddhanth Kapoor, busted at the 54th place with no money. IOPC United final table contender Neeraj Kumar busted at the 62nd spot, while Gutshot’s April 2021 e-magazine cover star, Siddharth Karia busted at the 65th place with two re-entries. IOPC Legends winner, Amit Gehani also busted at the 70th spot without any money. Gutshot’s Player of the Month, Anirban Das finished at the 76th spot, while IOPC The Crown final table contender Vinay Rajpal busted at the 95th spot with no money.

Megastack – ₹16.50 Lakh

Megastack on Spartan Poker was an action-packed tourney. 586 entries crushed the initial guarantee to generate a final prize pool of ₹17,58,000. The top 55 places took home a min-cash of ₹8,614.

Online reg Rajeev Kumar aka ‘AthenaVolt’ topped the table and laughed his way to the bank with ₹3,41,052. Nadeem Basha aka ‘blindgame’ was the runner-up who added ₹2,16,234 to his bankroll. Anonymous player ‘mafia666’ finished third for ₹1,56,286. 

Peter Nazareth busted at the 7th spot for ₹57,310, Guruprasad Gupta finished 17th for ₹19,162, Ankit Wadhawan finished 19th for ₹17,404, Vivek Singh with three re-entries finished at the 20th spot for ₹17,040. While Shashank Desai claimed the 21st spot for ₹15,646. IOPC January 2021 Main Event winner Laksh Pal Singh finished at the 24th spot for ₹13,888. Vinayak Bajaj busted at the 32nd spot for ₹10,372, Anirban Das busted 33rd for ₹10,372 and IOPC January 2021 Masterminds and Millionaire Legends winner, Aniket Waghmare busted at the 35th spot for ₹10,372. 

IOPC The Crown final table contender Ankit Bajaj and leaderboard winner Anuj Yadav also busted at the 52nd and 54th spot respectively for ₹8,614 each.

Gaurav Sood busted at the 60th spot for no money. Other players who busted without making any money included Vivekk Dube, who busted at the 68th place, Siddharth Karia, who busted at the 71st place, Manish Lakhotia at the 73rd place, 2021 IOPC Legends winner, Amit Gehani at the 78th place, Aman Parakh at the 88th place, Arsh Grover at the 95th place, Myron Pereira at the 99th place, Vishal Bajaj at the 105th place, Neeraj Kumar at the 111th place and IOPC July 2021 commentator Kanchan Sharma at the 133rd place.

Sixth Sense – ₹5 Lakh

PokerStars Sixth Sense witnessed 204 entries on its virtual felts. The top 24 places drew a min-cash of ₹5,561 from this tournament.

Anonymous player ‘FHIRSE’ clinched the title and cashed ₹98,113. Clinton Tavares finished second and added ₹75,327 to his bankroll. Prithu Gaur aka ‘fna1tics’ finished third for ₹57,832.

Arsh Grover busted at the fourth place for ₹44,400. Harsh Dembla with three re-entries finished 10th for ₹12,064. 

Players who busted without any money were Sagar Choudhury with three re-entries at the 44th spot, Mithun Mahesh at the 47th spot, Manish Lakhotia with four re-entries at the 51st spot and Anirban Das with six re-entries at the 56th spot.
