APT Hanoi 2022 Mystery Bounty: Shardul Among Top Stacks Going Into Day 2

Asian Poker Tour (APT) Summer Festival Hanoi is expected to draw in massive participation from poker players all over the world. The series reached Day 2 of the Mystery Bounty event, with 49 survivors led by Vietnamese player Daniel Nguyen with a stack of 395,500 chips.

The Mystery Bounty event has a VND 1.5 Billion guaranteed and after it drew in a total of 252 entries, this guarantee was crushed. The final prize pool generated was VND 1,955,520,000. Flight A pulled in a crowd of 134 entries out of which 24 players made the cut. Flight B had a total of 118 entries and from this 25 made it to Day 2. The event will be paying the top 26 players, so players are now in the race to make it in the money.

Shardul Parthasarathi Leading Among Indians

APT Vietnam 2022: Shardul Parthasarathi Leads Player Of The Series Leaderboard

Among the 49 survivors who progressed to Day 2 was the winner of APT Vietnam Hanoi Loyal 2022 Main Event – Shardul Parthasarathi has the fifth-highest stack of 243,000. However, he is not alone as fellow countrymen like Jasven Saigal (149,000), India Poker Championship January 2020 ME winner Rubin Labroo (144,500), Ritwik Khanna (125,000), Ankit Wadhawan (92,000), World Poker Tour (WPT) Prime Vietnam 2022 Main Event winner Zarvan Tumboli (53,000), and Ankit Jajodia (19,500) also made it. With a strong Indian presence in Day 2 of the Mystery Bounty tournament, it is possible that the title may soon come home as well.

Note: At the time of writing this, Spartan Poker pro Zarvan Tumboli exited Day 2 of the event.

Given that Parthasarathi is the Indian with the highest chip stack, he has a good shot at the APT title. As mentioned earlier, the poker pro is no stranger to the felts of APT in Vietnam, as he shipped the APT Vietnam Hanoi Loyal 2022 Main Event for VND 1,929,250,000 (~ ₹64.82 Lakh) just this June. It was during the same Mystery Bounty event that Parthasarathi had the third-highest chip lead in Day 2.

First Place Prize

The one who ships the Mystery Bounty will get the lion’s share worth VND 288,260,000. The winner will also walk away with the first ever APT-VSOP trophy and will be bumped to the top spot in the Player of the Series leaderboard.

When Does The Bounty Kick-in?

Since this is a Mystery Bounty event, the bounty rewards will kick-in only when the money bubble bursts. The highest bounty is worth a whopping VND 154,400,000 which is bigger than even the third-place payout. There will be two of these mega bounties hidden in the mix and one will be reserved for the final table where there will be only eight players left.

The Mystery Bounty rewards (in VND) range between VND 154,400,000 and VND 5,100,000.
