Debapriya Manna Is The New APT 2022 Online India Main Event Champion


Asian Poker Tour (APT) 2022 Online Series India has officially drawn its curtains on the online poker platform, PokerBaazi. The prestigious Main Event of the series concluded last night amidst much action and power-packed performances. The event was shipped by Debapriya Manna aka ‘detulelungikhul’, who cashed it ₹18,55,000. 

The event had 209 survivors who made it to Day 2 of the event after four starting flights. The massive prize pool of ₹1,53,00,000 was shared between all the 209 survivors, as the min-cash stood at ₹23,010. 

Day 1A, which took place on 7th July 2022, had 189 players and 127 re-entries, out of which 38 players qualified for Day 2. Similarly, Day 1B on 8th July gathered a total of 179 entries and 115 re-entries, of which 35 players progressed. On 9th July, 247 entries and 117 re-entries battled it out, as the top 43 players made it to Day 3. 100 players survived the last flight, i.e., Day 1C out of the 375 entries and 185 re-entries on 10th July.

The final day of the event, which kicked off at 8 PM on 10th July, ended after almost six hours of intense gameplay. Finally, it was Manna who beat pro grinder Sahil Mahboobani aka ‘ImHighIshove’ in the heads-up to nail the title. Mahboobani settled for the runner-up spot with ₹14,59,000 to his bankroll. Manna also takes home the shiny APT trophy and APT ring along with the top prize. 

It was indeed a profitable series for Manna, who cashed at multiple events in this 10 days long series, the most notable one’s being his 12th place finish at the APT Championship Event for 1,03,428, and 10th at the Mini Main Event for a paycheque of 97,500.

Other players who made in the money at this event included Chandan Arora (4th, ₹7,67,000), Vaibhav Sharma (6th, ₹4,60,000), Sahil Chutani (9th, ₹1,84,000), Abhimanyu Mittal (15th, ₹1,07,000), Debneil Mukherjee (21st, ₹92,040), IOPC July 2021 leaderboard topper Anuj Yadav (25th, ₹76,700), Romit Advani (29th, ₹76,700), Aman Parakh (42nd, ₹61,360), Shashank Jain (45th, ₹61,360), four time IOPC leaderboard winner Bhanu Prakash (49th, ₹61,360), WPT Prime Vietnam 2022 Main Event and APT Vietname 2022 Main Event runner-up Ashish Munot (62nd, ₹47,550), Goonjan Mall (63rd, ₹47,550), Gutshot’s June 2021 e-magazine cover star Siddhanth Kapoor (69th, ₹47,550), Anurag Srivastava (78th, ₹33,750), Sanat Mehrotra (80th, ₹33,750), NPS 2021 winner Mohammad Azhar (91st, ₹33,750), Harshad Barve (122nd, ₹27,610), Ritwik Khanna (129th, ₹27,610), FTS 3.0 winner Ankit Wadhawan (132nd, ₹27,610), NPS March 2022 Main Event winner Chirag Sodha (140th, ₹27,610), Harsh Bubna (161st, ₹27,610), Manish Lakhotia (186th, ₹23,010), and Myron Periera (188th, ₹23,010).

The APT 2022 Online Series India ran on PokerBaazi from 1st July to 10th July and had ₹10+ crore on offer. Last week Puneet Mishra shipped the ₹50 Lakh Championship Event on 7th July and bagged ₹12,19,000, while Ashish Munot clinched the ₹75 Lakh Mini Main Event for ₹13,13,000 on 6th July 2022.
