APT Vietnam 2022: Shardul Parthasarathi 3rd Chip Lead In Mystery Bounty


The popular live poker event Asian Poker Tour (APT) officially kicked-off its Vietnam leg at the Grand Loyal Poker Club, Grand Vista Hotel in Hanoi on 6th June 2022. The series will run till 19th June and yesterday, Event 1: Mystery Bounty Flights A and B wrapped up with 69 survivors from both flights, qualifying for Day 2 of the event. From Flight A, 40 out of 186 advanced to Day 2 while 29 out of 107 entries from Flight B survived to Day 2.

The APT Vietnam Hanoi Loyal 2022 Mystery Bounty had a VND 1 Billion guarantee and a 3 Million bounty pool. The event had a buy-in worth VND 8,800,000. A total of 293 entries participated in the tournament and helped crush the advertised guarantee. The final prize pool of VND 2,273,680,000 was generated. Leading the 69 survivors on Day 2 is Vietnamese player Dang Duy Thanh who bagged a stack of 300,000 chips.

Indian player Shardul Parthasarathi had the third-highest stack with 251,000 chips. Other Indian players who made it to Day 2 are Alok Birewar with 154,000 chips in 15th position, Jasven Saigal with 132,500 chips in 19th position, Ankit Kumar Jajodia with 96,000 chips in 33rd position, Vaibhav Sharma with 86,500 chips in 37th position, and Chirag Sodha with 38,500 chips in 67th position.

The money bubble will burst with the 31st knockout and the bounty rewards will come into play. Players who make it to the top 30th place will make the money with the winner set to pocket VND 325,600,000 in prize money. The most coveted bounties in the tournament are the three VND 176,500,000 (~US$ 7,612) bounty prizes, one of which will be reserved for the final table. The action on Day 2 will be intense as players hunt down the largest bounties.

The ultimate champion will take home the first-ever APT Hanoi trophy and will get a head start at the Player of the Series race.
