Last year, the World Poker Tour (WPT) made a splash with its record-setting World Championship at the Wynn Las Vegas. The event had 2,960 entries and witnessed the guaranteed prize pool of $15 million getting nearly doubled. That was good news for the players as those who make it in the money including the title winner would get attractive prize money.

In an Instagram post WPT announced that its highly anticipated series would make a grand return this year in November 2023 with . Yes folks, the event will run between 29th November to 23rd December 2023 at the plush Wynn Las Vegas.

WPT World Championship 2022

Last year, Eliot Hudon made headlines with his victory in the much awaited WPT World Championship Main Event. He took down the coveted title for a colossal sum of $4.1 Million and a shiny new WPT trophy. The Canadian player beat Benny Glaser in the heads-up clash to have his name registered in poker history. Glaser, who is from England, entered the final table as the chip. But sadly, the English player couldn’t retain his lead and soon the game turned Hudon’s way and was eventually crowned the winner. Glaser had a payday of $2.8 Million for his second place finish.

Coming back to the 2023 WPT World Championship expect nothing less than fireworks at the event. As per the announcement made by WPT, there are three championship events as follows: 7th – 12th December – WPT Prime Championship, 16th – 18th December – WPT Ladies Championship, and 12th – 18th December – WPT World Championship.
