Who’s Going Broke Thanks To Daniel Negreanu At PokerGo Cup?

Nobody is playing poker to go broke, are they? Absolutely not. In most cases it is the other way around. But what happens if there is too much star power on your poker table? Well, there’s nothing much one can do, other than hoping to survive the game. What are we talking about? We are talking about poker player and commentator Jeff Platt playing on the same table as Daniel Negreanu at the ongoing PokerGo Cup.

It is natural to feel intimidated to see a six-time World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet winner grind on the same table as yours. But it is another thing when someone is shooting videos and says that you will go broke in just five minutes. This seriously happened to Platt who sat next to ‘KidPoker’ crossing his fingers and hoping to play beyond just five minutes. One can understand being awestruck around a pro like Negreanu but Brent Hanks saying Platt will go broke in no time thanks to DNegs is hilarious.

This poker commentator born in Texas was shown the door by Cary Katz. What happened? Platt’s KJs lost to Katz’ pocket fours. How? Read on to know. From under the gun, Katz opened with 40K and Platt responded by moving all-in from the button with 140K. The dealer revealed 4c 4d 8d. This was bad news for Platt as his rival flopped quads and he was already looking at the exit route. The Kc on the turn and Td on the river made sure that Platt knew that quitting his day job just as yet was a bad idea. And as for Katz, he was smiling with glee.
