Krafton Launches Battlegrounds Mobile India On iOS App Store

Finally, Krafton has released Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) on iOS. This gives the Indian iPhone users a chance to get back to their favourite game. iOS users will be able to import their game progress from PUBG Mobile to BGMI just like the Android users.

The announcement was made just one day after BGMI’s Freedom Face off challenge event concluded on Sunday, 15 August. It was announced through BGMI’s official social media account with a video trailer featuring some popular gamers like Snax, Kanika, Maxtern, Casetoo, Sangwan, Sreeman, Kaztro among others.

Ever since Krafton released BGMI for Android users, there was a strong buzz that the game would drop on the App store as well. After teasing the fans with a bunch of hints, Krafton finally announced the good news. The excitement from the gaming community was palpable and many company heads were also keen to share their thoughts on the game’s release on the App store. 

“The esports fraternity was waiting for BGMI to be available on iOS. The roaring success of the multiplayer battle royale game with close to 50 million downloads showcases the positive response this exclusive game receives in India. Now that it is available to iOS users too, the esports segment expects to witness more esports enthusiasts joining the growing industry and more gaming content creators coming along the way. Trinity has been leading and supporting the young and dynamic talents growing in the space of esports, and we can foresee some big changes happening in the participation coming along with the BGMI iOS version,” said Abhishek Aggarwal, Co-founder and CEO of Trinity Gaming, one of India’s top gaming talent management companies.

Another gaming enthusiast and founder of esports platform Ultimate Battle, Tarun Gupta said, “Adding yet another feather to its cap, the exclusive battle royale game Battlegrounds Mobile India is now available on iOS. The move will lead to a substantial increase in the game’s user base, and we can envision that the gaming community will thrive. We’ll also be looking into adding BGMI to our flagship tournament All India Esports League (AIEL) which will be launched very soon. At Ultimate Battle, BGMI was introduced on our esports platform a month back just after its launch. We witnessed great player participation with a noticeable spike in engagement rate around this battle royale game.”

Gupta further adds, “As the game has already crossed the 50 million downloads mark, this launch will further fuel the esports ecosystem in India. More players in BGMI means more exciting actions in the esports arena.” 

For those who are still not sure how to get your hands on the game, look below for a step by step guide. The game is 1.9GB in size and users need to have iOS 11.0 or above in order to download the game. Note that due to the ongoing maintenance work on the app, few iPhone users may find it difficult to log in to their BGMI accounts for some time.

How to download Battlegrounds Mobile India on iOS?

• Step 1: Got to Apple App Store
• Step 2: Type in the search bar ‘Battlegrounds Mobile India’
• Step 3: Click on the ‘Get’ button and fill in the required details for authentication.

With the game now being available on both Android and iOS devices, it could again grab the numero uno spot in the list of popular games.
