The Indian team is having a blast and shipping tournaments at the Asian Poker Tour (APT) Summer Festival Hanoi 2022 at the Vietnam Series of Poker (VSOP). Indian poker pro Siddarth Singhvi ended up shipping the Deep Stacks Turbo event.

The series has reached its ninth day and has already crowned Filipino player Vamerdino Magsakay as the coveted Main Event winner. With his massive win Magsakay is currently leading the APT Player of the Series leaderboard with 800.21 points. Following close behind in second place with 716.63 points is Indian player Ankit Kumar.

He had a payday of VN₫ 88,130,000 (~₹3,01,109) which was the biggest piece of the VN₫  329,800,000 (~₹11,26,679) prize pool. Singhvi beat Nguyen Van Sang in heads-up to clinch the APT title. Before the final hand, Nguyen shoved with Js 4s on the flop of 7h 4c 3c and Singhvi called with Tc 7c with a top pair. The turn brought 3s while the river gave Ts. This gave Singhvi the win with two pairs (TT, 77) and gave him a much needed doubled up. This left Nguyen with only 1.5 BB and while he survived for a few more hands it wasn’t long before he made his final shove. Singhvi took home the title with Kh Jh over Nguyen’s Ks 4c on a board of Js 6c 9d 4d 6h.

However, Singhvi was not the only Indian to finish in the money at the event. Final Table Series (FTS) 3.0 Main Event winner Ankit Wadhawan finished in 8th place for VN₫ 11,020,000 (~₹37,647). Deepak Bothra was the other Indian to finish in 9th place for VN₫ 9,180,000 (~₹31,361).
