WSOP 2023: Kunal Patni Among The Top 19 To Makes It To Day 3 Of Event #59

The World Series of Poker (WSOP) 2023 has been going on in full steam at Horseshoe and Paris casino on the Las Vegas strip. The series has been crowning champions one after another. And the Indian contingent has been doing exceptionally well at the series.

As per the latest update from the series, Indian pro player Kunal Patni has made it to Day 3 of Event #59: $3,000 No-Limit Hold’em Freezeout. The event had a total of 1,598 entries paying the buy-in of $3,000, generating a final prize pool of $4,266,660. Day 2, which had a total of 240 entries battling it out, recently ended with the final 19 survivors bagging and tagging for Day 3. 

Leading the final 18 is Isreal’s WSOP bracelet winner Barak Wisbrod with a stack of 6,500,000 chips. Not very far behind is USA’s Kenny Smith with 6,100,000 chips. The third highest stack is Canada’s Frederic Normand, with 5,060,000 chips. 

Patni has the 15th highest stack of 1,470,000 chips. He shared the update on his Instagram stories. He shared a picture of his bag of chips and wrote, “Day 3 with 12BB and a dream!! 19 left!!” (sic)

The survivors will now return to try one last time for the top spot, which promises a pay cheque of $675,275 up top. The runner-up will get $417,338 for the second-place finish.
