WSOP 2020: Michael Lech Captures Bracelet in Event #13 for $164K!


It took nearly 11 hours for the eventual champion to power through the field and take down the 2020 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Online’s 13th bracelet event. Adding another piece of gold to his collection was Arkansas’ Michael ‘miguelfiesta’ Lech who pocketed $164,248 in top prize. It was eight-time WSOP Circuit winner’s 7th cash in the ongoing series!

The Event #13: $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em High Roller Freezeout accumulated a prize pool worth $924,825 on the back of 649 entries. Money reached the top 99 players after Dylan ‘thedogsofwar’ Wilkerson bubbled in 100th place. Faces in the crowd to cash include Indian-origin player  Ankush ‘rickrosstheb’ Mandavia (60th – $3,421), Jason ‘haderadehaan’ Somerville (53rd – $$3,976), six-time WSOP bracelet winner Daniel ‘DNegs’ Negreanu (27th – $6,381), Event #12 champ Ryan ‘Joeyisamush’ Depaulo (23rd – $6,381), Ricky ‘ratedgto’ Guan (17th – $7,491), Stanton ‘Stonniespoker’ Tentowski (10th – $11,930) and so on.

The first casualty from the final table was Michael ‘wsopmd’ Dolle. In the 8th place, Megan ‘wolverine17’ Milburn went out, followed by Christopher ‘pokeher2014’ Fuchs in the 7th place. Bracelet winner Connor ‘666666’ Drinan was eliminated in the sixth place. Soon, heads-up got underway between William ‘SlaweelRyam’ Romaine (9.7 million) and Michael ‘miguelfiesta’ Lech (6.5 million).

Both players connected on the flop Kc 10d 3d. With Qs and 7h on Turn and River, the tournament ended and Lech claimed the title along with the $164K for his victory. The champion has over $1.38 million in live winnings, sitting 3rd in Arkansas’ all time money list. Since 2016, Lech separated himself from other WSOP Circuit grinders by winning five of his eight rings in different countries. He has over 70 WSOP-related cashes totaling $987K.
