Utkarsh Vaish Wins IOPC June 2023 Main Event The Crown

Online reg Utkarsh Vaish has become the new champion after he took down the coveted IOPC June 2023 Main Event The Crown. Vaish and Goonjan Mall ended the event with a heads-up deal. The newly crowned champion took the top spot for the lion’s share of ₹56,20,217. Mall, who was dominating the final table, took the runner-up spot for ₹44,49,782.

Vaish aka ‘kidpokerNJ’ took down the coveted title with his third entry. On the other hand, Mall aka ‘PresentSIR’ brought two of his stacks onto the final table and cashed at the eighth and second place, respectively. For his eighth-place finish, he pocketed ₹6,50,000, recording a total cashout of ₹50,99,782 from his two final table finishes. 

The event had 820 surviving entries who made it to Day 2 through eight starting flights. The ₹11,000 buy-in event had a mammoth prize pool of ₹5 Crore. The final day which started at 10.30 PM on 18th June 2023, went on for almost five hours before crowning its ultimate champion. The event paid out the top 785 finishers as the min-cash stood at ₹17,500.

Defending champion Aditya Agarwal, who shipped the Main Event of the IOPC January 2023 edition, was also in the run to defend his title. However, he finished at the 40th spot for ₹1,00,000. On the other hand, Anuj Yadav aka ‘br0ckLesnar95’ bubbled the final table of the Main Event after he busted at the 19th spot for a pay cheque of ₹4,50,000.
