Ronaldo Reunites With PokerStars Again!
Football icon Ronaldo Luís Nazário de Lima aka Ronaldo has joined PokerStars after nine years of first associating with the poker brand in 2013. As per news reports, the football legend is now the brand ambassador for PokerStars.
Previously, the online poker giant had included Ronaldo as a member of its SportStar team which also included stars like Boris Becker and Rafael Nadal. For some reason PokerStars did not announce this news on their official social media handles and only chose to comment on Ronaldo’s Instagram post about rejoining PokerStars.
The Brazilian football star wrote, “I am very excited to announce that I am once again part of the @pokerstars family. ♥️ I have always been a great fan of the game and I am eager to work on new projects in the future.”

PokerStars commented on Ronaldo’s post. The comment read, “We are all happy with @ronaldo and now we are enjoying @ronaldotv_oficial, seeing you playing poker live is always a lot of fun. We are also looking forward to the new projects that are about to come, lots of news for everyone!”

Back in 2015
Back in 2015 Ronaldo ran deep in the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) Main Event 2015. This Brazilian was eliminated in the 26th position for a cash prize of $42,180. The football star also participated in a $1,100 side event at the PCA 2016. Ronaldo finished seventh and scored $3,580 in prize money.
As mentioned above, the football legend was a part of the SportStar team which saw the Rio de Janeiro native playing live poker. But this time around, the association will be in the direction of online poker and streaming online poker tournaments on Twitch, state news reports. PokerStars is yet to make an official announcement as to when the football maestro will kick-off streaming his games as the new PokerStars brand ambassador.
