PUBG Mobile developers announced in November 2020 that the game would return after being banned in India. But so far there has been no definite announcement made with that regard. However, the developers have now assured fans that they are working on bringing a more Indian-centric version of the game soon. In line with this, the PUBG corporation revealed its plans to establish an Indian subsidiary and to include features and customizations directed specifically to its Indian audiences.
The popular battle royale game was banned by the government of India as there were certain concerns with user’s security and privacy. As fans eagerly await an update on the release date, a popular PUBG player called Aaditya ‘Dynamo’ Sawant teased the game’s return in India on one of his YouTube streams. According to Sawant, the trailer will be released on a ‘double-digit’ date after which an official trailer will be released on a ‘single-digit’ date.

The cryptic message did not reveal anything else other than this vague information. With various rumours regarding the game floating around, fans are advised to not think too much about it. There are speculations that the game could be released in June this year but no date has been set in stone yet.
However, Sawant and other popular gamers like Chetan ‘Kronten’ Chandgude and Jonathan Amaral have been featured in the game’s official teaser. This could be a sign that the PUBG Corporation is planning to begin its promotions in the coming days. With the developers putting in more efforts to make the game more Indian-centric, this long-anticipated comeback could once again put PUBG at the top.
