Mystery Players Rule Monday Tournaments


The Monday night grind was filled with poker players aiming to claim a flagship title. As usual, poker platforms kept up with the demand and rolled out some of their most exciting Monday tournaments. Spartan Poker hosted its high-value ‘The Rainmaker’ event and PokeBaazi had two ₹10 Lakh guarantee events: ‘Daily Boost’ and ‘The Big Show.’ While many well-known pros were grinding, the online felts were dominated by mystery players. Here’s a full lowdown of the action on the Monday tournaments:

The Rainmaker – ₹10 Lakh GTD

With the monsoon season in full swing, Spartan Poker’s aptly named ‘The Rainmaker’ tournament attracted 162 unique players, 55 re-entries, and 110 re-buys. This totaled to 327 entries. The ₹10 Lakh guarantee event had a ₹3,3000 buy-in. The top 31 places were paid and the min-cash stood at ₹8,800. The event was shipped by mystery player ‘gaurav_arsh’ who had a payday of ₹2,11,500. The runner-up position was occupied by Deepak Singh aka ‘Optimist’ who went home with ₹1,42,400 in prize money.

Daily Boost – ₹10 Lakh GTD

The Daily Boost event on PokerBaazi was a huge hit as the ₹10 Lakh guarantee was crushed and a final prize pool worth ₹11,62,000 was generated. The event welcomed 1,162 total entries out of which 609 were unique players and 553 were re-entries. The ₹1,100 buy-in event ended with the top 197 places paid. The min-cash was ₹1,860. The tournament title was won by anonymous player Issac Shira aka ‘iceofspades’ who grabbed ₹1,57,000 for his victory. The runner-up was another anonymous player ‘pheonix7777’ who walked away with ₹1,23,000.

The Big Show – ₹10 Lakh GTD

The second event on PokerBaazi was its flagship event ‘The Big Show.’ The ₹10 Lakh guarantee was also crushed and ₹12,45,000 was the final prize pool. The event had 205 unique players and 210 re-entries participate. The ₹3,300 buy-in concluded with the top 54 players making the money. The min-cash was ₹5,730. Regular grinder ‘Ronywalker’ shipped the event for ₹2,19,000 while Mandar Madaye aka ‘MAMA04’ was the runner-up for ₹2,06,000.

Iron Man – ₹8 Lakh GTD

Adda52 also hosted its Monday night staple, the ‘Iron Man’ event which had a buy-in of ₹2,400. The ₹8 Lakh prize pool was surpassed and the final amount was ₹8,03,003. There were 365 entries in total from which 193 were unique players and 172 were re-buys. The top 38 places were paid and the min-cash was ₹4,818. Player ‘Bujo’ ultimately shipped the event and walked home with a ₹2,00,750 paycheque. The runner-up was Nitesh Katiyar aka ‘nitkat’ who pocketed ₹1,21,655 in prize money.
