WATCH: After A Ton Of Slowrolling Mike Matusow Beats Shaun Deeb In High Stakes Duel 4

High Stakes Duel 4 kicked off on Friday, May 5, with a first-ever undercard match as part of the competition. Shaun Deeb battled with Mike Matusow at the PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas for a $10,000 buy-in heads-up match. When it was all said and done, Matusow emerged victorious to take the $20,000 purse. The Deeb-Matusow match was livestreamed on PokerGO and the PokerGO YouTube channel.

The undercard match was the first of its kind for High Stakes Duel and precedes the first-round High Stakes Duel 4 match between Daniel Negreanu and Eric Persson coming up on Monday, May 8. Negreanu and Persson will be playing for $50,000 each. The winner of Round 1 will advance to Round 2, and the loser will have the first right to a rematch. Per the updated rules of High Stakes Duel 4, a player who wins two consecutive matches will be crowned High Stakes Duel 4 champion.
