JioCinema Is The Official Streaming Partner For PSL Season 5
Poker Sports League (PSL) Season 5 has announced JioCinemas as its official streaming partner. The event will be live streamed exclusively on JioCinema starting 22nd July. The finale which is scheduled on 20th August will also be live streamed. The event boasts of a prize pool of ₹1.5 Crore. As per news reports the tie up between JioCinemas and PSL is set to redefine the viewing experience for audience members from the comfort of their homes.
Pranav Bagai, CEO and Co-founder of Poker Sports League commented on the brand’s partnership with PSL. He said, “Our mission as a company is to provide entertaining experiences for all, and we believe this partnership will help us achieve that goal. With the majority of our audience being tech-savvy and preferring to consume content on OTT platforms, this partnership with JioCinema for streaming is a natural fit.”

As per news reports, PSL is looking at associating with JioCinemas for its events in 2023. The latest partenership comes with a promise of high visibility with respect to the poker league’s highly engaging format. Furthermore, India’s OTT market has reportedly experienced tremendous growth, with the availability of high-speed internet across the country at affordable prices. According to media reports, the Indian OTT market has over 42 Crore viewers, which includes 12 Crore active paid OTT subscriptions.
PSL had recently announced one of the leading poker brands—Pocket52 as its title sponsor. As the official title sponsor for PSL 5, the online poker platform will provide players a secure gaming experience to players when it comes to competing in the PSL. Players can sign up on Pocket52 and grind in any 6 of the 31 online qualifier tournaments which do not have any entry fee. The deadline for playing qualifying tournaments is 25th June 2023.
