Day 4 of India Online Poker Championship (IOPC) on Spartan Poker was full of blazing poker action. Pros like Dhaval Mudgal and Aniket Waghmare shipped marquee tournaments and made quite the splash on the virtual felts. The prize money they took home is envious and we can’t wait to see what these two do as the series progresses ahead. Take a look at Sunday’s steamy grind which led to many winning the coveted IOPC titles.
This event was shipped by a Shreyas Mantri for ₹1,03,971. The runner-up was online reg Vinay Rajpal for ₹65,232. In April 2020, Rajpal registered his biggest cash in the Full House Finale on Adda52 for a prize money of ₹12,49,500.
Another online reg Vinay B ended this tourney in a deal with well-known pro Shravan Chhabria for ₹1,69,402. Chhabria took the second biggest piece of the prize pool worth ₹1,63,971. Chhabria impressed the poker fans when he shipped the Adda52 Colossus Aug 2022 – 50K Warm Up Bounty for ₹8,96,000 (₹1.5 Lakh in bounties). IPC Megastacks May 2022 25K Kick-Off winner Mahesh S beat PokerHigh’s The Player Hunt Season 2 winner Samay Singh Modi to grab the title and a pay cheque worth ₹1,99,192. Modi took home ₹1,24,975. The runner-up of this event has been making quite the splash on the virtual felts with his victory. For the unversed, Modi will be seen as the mentor in the upcoming season of The Player Hunt Season 3.
Vinay Rajpal showed us that he excels at PLO just as easily in Hold’em. He won this PLO6 game for ₹1,07,685 after beating Gadadhar Behera. The second place finisher took home ₹67,929. Talking about the winner of this event, Rajpal has won 297 online titles and has ₹5.41 Crore (as of Jan 2023) in lifetime total as per records.

Online reg Rishabh Gupta struck a deal with a mystery player called ‘Whateveh’ to end the tournament and grab a pay cheque worth ₹12,17,197. The anonymous player had a payday of ₹8,81,184.
Aniket Waghmare is clearly on a roll this IOPC season. There is no looking for this Mumbai lad who now shipped this marquee tournament for ₹17,31,008. He previously won the IOPC #14 High Roller for over ₹20 Lakh. Waghmare beat WSOP bracelet winner Abhinav Iyer who had a payday of ₹11,69,600. Iyer grabbed headlines in December 2022, when he made it to Day 2 of the WPT World Championship ($10,400 buy-in) via Day 1A.
Deepak Singh shipped this tournament for ₹5,24,188. The runner-up was Lawyer-turned-poker pro Ram Kakkar. The second place finisher took home ₹3,30,265. The runner-up in Novemeber 2022 shipped Final Table Series (FTS) 5.0 #49 for ₹4,79,047. Kakkar beat Kanchan Sharma to grab the top spot.
The massively popular pro Dhaval Mudgal took down Blaze hook, line and sinker. The pro who’s an equally brilliant singer is now richer by ₹34,46,160. The runner-up was Sandy Lamba who added ₹21,17,520. We spoke to the WPT Vietnam 2018 Main Event Champion to know more about his win. Mudgal added that he did his nornal prep and had brought four stacks in Blaze Day 2 and hoped that he’ll be able to convert one of them into a win. Talking about stifling competition, the pro added that he changed his game to suit the situation as not many top online regs were on the final table especially Anuj Yadav and FTS 3.0 winner Ankit Wadhwan.
A mystery player called Pratik Kumbharjuvekar nailed this tourney for ₹3,89,227 after cutting a deal with Dayanand Prass who added ₹2,97,280 to his bankroll.
The last tournament of Day 4 was shipped by a mystery player called ‘Oustiner’ for ₹2,06,467. Another well-known name from the Indian poker circuit, Siddharth Gangwar became runner-up for ₹1,25,804. The runner-up of this tourney is an online reg with 192 titles to his credit. Gangwar has a lifetime total of ₹4.89 Crore (as of Jan 2023) and his largest cash (₹23,63,000) came in IOPC June 2022 #107 – Super High Roller (₹1.25 Crore GTD) (6 Max – RE).
