IOPC Day 17: Srijan Batra Ships Tuesday Prime For Half A Million


As the India Online Poker Championship (IOPC) July 2021 nears the ultimate Main Event, the action on the online felts continues to intensify. Day 17 naturally witnessed some power-packed and head-on battles for the top spots. Online poker pros like Aman Parakh and Advait Rajguru as well as  some mystery players nailed top tournaments. Here’s what went down on day 17.

IOPC #101 – ₹3.75 Lakh

IOPC #101 kick-started day 17 with some thrilling action. The tournament witnessed 797 entries. The initial guarantee was surpassed by a thin margin and the final prize pool stood at ₹3,98,500. Top 63 places made it in the money and drew a min-cash of ₹1,733.

This tournament was nailed by anonymous player ‘TheRealG,’ who added ₹ 69,834 to his bankroll. At the second spot was another anonymous player ‘MAAHI7’ took home ₹55,891 in prize money.

IOPC #102 – ₹6.40 Lakh GTD

Aman Parakh aka ‘KarmaPoker’ shipped this tournament and took home a pay cheque of ₹1,41,760. Mystery player ‘Drunkenstein’ was the runner-up who grabbed the highest five-figure prize of ₹95,680.

Mystery player ‘DeputyDong69’ shipped this tourney and cashed ₹97,000. ‘Nesh05’ walked away with ₹61,500 at the second spot.

IOPC #104 Tuesday Prime – ₹32 Lakh

The biggest tournament of the day was IOPC #104 Tuesday Prime. The ₹3,300 buy-in tournament witnessed 1,075 entries slogging it out. The initial guarantee of ₹32 Lakh was surpassed by a slim margin to generate a final prize pool of ₹32.25 Lakh. Top 95 places enjoyed a portion of the prize pool and took home a min-cash of ₹9,513.

Srijan Batra aka ‘TheDawnFacere’ topped the table and laughed his way to the bank with a little over half a million (₹5,30,201). IOPC Legends final table contender, Rajeev Kumar aka ‘AthenaVolt’ finished second for ₹4,10,855.

Shagun Jain (5th, ₹1,64,797), two time IOPC leaderboard champion, Bhanu Prakash (14th, ₹30,927), WSOP bracelet winner, Kartik Ved (18th, ₹24,477), Sandeep Bhatnagar (19th, ₹24,477), Alok Birewar with five re-enties (22nd, ₹21,252) Amit Kaushik (23rd, ₹21,252), Vikranth Varma (31st, ₹14,028), Anuj Yadav, who has continued to maintain the IOPC July 2021 leaderboard topper position for the fifth time now (57th, ₹10,803), IOPC July 2021 commentator, Kanchan Sharma (69th,₹10,803), Arun Sriram (76th, ₹9,513), Mohit Mehta (83rd, ₹9,513), Myron Pereira (84th,₹9,513) and IOPC #102 winner Aman Parakh (88th, 9,513) finished in the money.

Players who couldn’t make it in the money included Dhirendra Kumar (97th), WPT India 2018 winner, Siddharth Singhvi (103rd), Gutshot Magazine’s June 2021 cover star Siddhanth Kapoor (104th), IPC 2020 winner, Rubin Labroo (105th), IOPC reg Abhishek Goindi with four re-entries (106th), Siddharth Gangwar (110th), Sahil Mahboobani (111st), Vishnu Khadelwal (120th), Sanish Chhabra (126th), Megastack winner, Manish Lakhotia (136th), IOPC #105 winner Advait Rajguru (137th), Siddhanth Kripalani (143rd) and Gutshot’s Player of the Month Anirban Das (150th).

IOPC #105 Tuesday Spotlight stayed in the spotlight as some top poker pros flooded the virtual felts. The initial guarantee was surpassed as the final prize pool stood at ₹12,61,500.The event witnessed 841 entries battling it out. Only the top 71 places managed to draw a min-cash of ₹4,793.

Online reg Advait Rajguru aka ‘GTfO18’ clinched the title and added ₹2,43,469to his bankroll. Anonymous player ‘Mutemath’ finished as the runner-up for ₹1,53,398.

IOPC #106 All Rounder – ₹10 Lakh

This Tuesday All Rounder tourney surpassed its initial guarantee by a slight margin to generate a final prize pool of ₹10,68,000. Out of the 534 entries only the top 39 places made it in the money. A min-cash of ₹7,369 was paid to the top 39 players.

Anonymous player ‘ardneran1’ shipped this tournament for an impressive sum of ₹2,14,134, while another mystery player ‘Bhavandar’ walked away with a pay cheque of ₹1,42,364 at the runner-up spot.
