Enterprising Indian Players To Look Out For At IPC Megastacks May 2022

India Poker Championship (IPC) Megastacks May 2022 is close at hand. As poker players across the country gear up to claim top spots at this grand and stupendous poker festival, we are equally excited to watch the action unfold at Casino Royale in Hotel Mechi Crown, Jhapa, Nepal. 

While we anticipate some unparalleled action and some head-turning moments, we all are certainly looking forward to watching some of our favourite poker stars grind at IPC and clinch notable titles. Obviously, we can’t predict or foretell who is going to win, but we surely can speculate and guess, based on players’ form, recent and past victories and so on. That’s what we have done for you! We’ve created a list of five players, we think have the potential to win at this edition of the IPC Megastacks.

Nikita Luther

Spartan Poker pro Nikita Luther is one of the players to look out for at the India Poker Championship (IPC) Megastacks May 2022. India’s only female WSOP bracelet winner, Luther, was recently seen grinding at the 2022 European Poker Tour (EPT) Prague Main Event, and Estrellas Poker Tour (ESPT) 2022 Main Event. She successfully made it to Day 2 of both the events and even made it in the money. Luther was also seen on the felts of Deltin last month grinding at the Deltin Poker Tournament (DPT). It will be interesting to see if this female pro is able to add an IPC title under her belt.

Dhirendra Kumar

Gutshot sponsored pro Dhirendra Kumar is another player to watch closely. ‘Dhiru,’ as he is fondly known among the poker community, has created a name for himself in the past few years. He has won an IPC Silver Package with a ticket to 25K Kick-Off and 65K Main Event. He is also sponsored by Gutshot Magazine and will represent Gutshot at the IPC Megastacks events. We look forward to Kumar grinding and winning at the glorious events.

Chirag Sodha

National Poker Series (NPS) Main Event champion Chirag Sodha is someone we are looking forward to, at the event. His impressive run at the NPS Main Event just proves how much he missed live poker and that now live events are back, he is here to nail them. His form makes him one of the most popular choices of players to keep a close eye on. With an IPC event, will this year turn out to be one of the best for Sodha?

Anuj Yadav

Anuj Yadav is one name we’re sure you haven’t missed if you’ve been following Indian poker in recent years. He has been a regular grinder on the online poker felts and has been winning several feature tournaments. He has also topped the India Online Poker Championship (IOPC) July 2021 leaderboard. He has also played some live events in the past too. Will this online reg be able to carry his consistent online form to the live events as well? Let’s wait and watch.

Anant Purohit

Anant Purohit is again a popular name in the Indian poker circuit. Apart from several online titles to his credit, he won the DPT Xpress Main Event in June 2019 for ₹7.40 Lakh, which happens to be his first-ever live title. Additionally, Purohit was the runner-up in the MegaStack tournament at the 2018 WPT India series. We look forward to seeing if this poker player will be able to clinch his second live title at a glorious series like IPC Megastacks May 2022.

While we patiently wait to see who wins at the IPC Megastacks May 2022, all we know is that it is going to be one hell of a poker series. The top players as well as the who’s who of the poker community will be in Nepal to witness and cherish the most iconic and glorious poker series of the year.
