DPT Oct 2023: Raghav Bansal Ships High Roller For Over 16 Lakh

Online and live poker pro Raghav Bansal won the Deltin Poker Tournament (DPT) Oct 2023 High Roller for a payday of ₹16,86,125. This pro from New Delhi beat Baazi Games’ founder and CEO, Navkiran Singh. For his second place finish, Singh took a pay cheque of ₹12,04,375. 

DPT Oct 2023: ₹1.1 Lakh GTD High Roller

This heavy-duty tournament had 47 total entries in the field with names like Gaurav Sood, Nikita Luther, Bharat Vasan, Myron Pereira, Arun Sriram, Shardul Parthasarathi, Kanchan Sharma, Aditya Sushant among others slogging hard for the coveted title and blockbuster prize money. 

The final table (FT) was set with nine players (top 6 paid) eyeing the prestigious DPT High Roller trophy. The nine players who fought hard on the FT were, Gaurav Sood, Navkiran Singh, Raghav Bansal, Myron Pereira, Rajasekhar Puttamsetty, Wilson Yomso, Vinay B, Vishal Bajaj, and Bharat Vasan.

The first person to exit the FT was Sood who lost to Singh. This elimination was followed by Vasan’s exit. Vinay B bubbled the High Roller ITM list. Yomso finished in 6th place, while Pereira finished 5th. Puttamsetty left the game in the 4th position while Vishal Bajaj claimed the third spot after he was shown the door by Bansal. The heads-up clash saw two very known personalities lock horns.

In the final hand of the High Roller, Bansal opened with 80K and his rival went all-in. This move by Singh saw Bansal snap-call and it was time for a showdown. The dealer revealed the community cards of Th 2s 7s 8s Ac. 

Bansal had Kc Th while Singh played with Kd 2d. The Ten-pair did a good job of holding solid ground for Bansal and handed him the coveted title. Singh took the runner-up position after his King-Deuce did him no good.
