Grammy Winner Bruno Mars Owes MGM Grand $50 Mn?
As per news reports, 15-time Grammy Award winner Bruno Mars raked up a huge debt at the MGM Grand casino in Las Vegas. Media reports state that Mars owed the casino $50 Million. It is widely known that the 24K Magic singer is a big fan of poker and used to play the card game to pay for his rent in Los Angeles. But there was a strong speculation going around that the singer-songwriter raked up a big fat debt at the casino.
Contrary to the claims made in the news reports, MGM Grand said, Mars did not owe the casino any sum. MGM Grand’s spokesperson reportedly told the media, “We’re proud of our relationship with Bruno Mars, one of the world’s most thrilling and dynamic performers. From his shows at Dolby Live at Park MGM to the new Pinky Ring lounge at Bellagio, Bruno’s brand of entertainment attracts visitors from around the globe.”

“MGM and Bruno’s partnership is longstanding and rooted in mutual respect. Any speculation otherwise is completely false; he has no debt with MGM. Together, we are excited to continue creating unforgettable experiences for our guests,” Jenn Michaels, Senior Vice President, Public Relations at MGM Resorts International told Forbes.
Mars reportedly makes around $90 Million from his deals with the casino. After paying taxes and debt, the Treasure singer takes home a sum of $1.5 Million per night.
While MGM Grand denied reports of any debt from Mars’ side, the poker fan hasn’t issued any statement squashing the allegation of money owed to MGM Grand.
In 2016, Mars told James Corden about being a card shark before making it big in the music industry. Brad Wilson, the host of a podcast called Chasing Poker Greatness, revealed that he played a poker game against Mars many years ago. The podcast host reportedly won a $30,000 pot against the pop legend.
