Asus ROG Phone 5: Best Gaming Phone In India?

Mobile gaming industry has become one of the most lucrative industries in India. With millions of people now turning to their mobile phones for their daily dose of gaming needs, it’s no surprise that this industry is flourishing. Keeping this in mind, Asus is one company that is eyeing to make its mark in the mobile gaming space with the release of the Asus ROG Phone 5. The company has released three new smartphones under its ROG 5 series, namely, ROG Phone 5, ROG Phone 5 Pro, and ROG Phone 5 Ultimate. Let us see what each phone has to offer.

Asus ROG Phone 5

Asus offers the ROG Phone 5 in two variants in which the basic variant has an 8GB RAM and 128GB storage space and is priced at INR 49,999. The slightly higher version has a 12GB RAM and 256GB of storage space and has a price tag of INR 57,999. Both the phones will be available in glossy black or glossy white colour.

Asus ROG Phone 5 Pro

Where to buy: Flipkart

The Pro has only one version which has 16GB RAM and a mega storage space of 512GB. This phone will cost you INR 69,999 and is certainly one of the pricier models from the series. It will be available in only one colour i.e., in a glossy Phantom Black.

Asus ROG Phone 5 Ultimate

The third model in this series in the ROG Phone 5 Ultimate which has 18GB RAM and a similar 512GB storage space. Priced at INR 79,999, it is the most expensive phone from the lot. Like the ROG Phone 5 Pro, this model will be available in only one colour variant called Storm White.

All the Asus ROG Phone 5 models have three cameras at the back – a primary camera of 64 megapixels, an ultra-wide-angle camera of 13 megapixels, and a macro camera of 5 megapixels. The phones also have a total of 6,000 mAh battery which are split into two cells to prevent heating from long hours of use. The phones come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC processor which should help the phone run smoothly without lag.

There is also an additional accessory to the phone which is the Aeroactive Cooler 5 which will cool the phone down during intense gaming sessions. This add-on will be included in the Pro and Ultimate versions but those buying the ROG Phone 5 will have to purchase it separately. Overall, the Asus ROG Phone 5 series looks promising and a recommended buy for those who are into hardcore mobile gaming.
