APT Vietnam 2022: Ankit Jajodia Finishes 5th In Championships Event

The Asian Poker Tour (APT) Vietnam Hanoi Loyal 2022 is witnessing a lot of action in its Championships Event.  Among the top eight contenders was Indian poker pro Ankit Jajodia who busted at the 5th spot. He was the only Indian player who made it to the final table (FT) in this event and eventually cashed VND 456,490,000.

The event, which welcomed 216 entries, has a prize pool of VND 7 333,200,000 on offer. The top 35 places had advanced to Day 3. Day 3 ended with the FT set with top eight players who would then lock horns on the final day of the highly anticipated event. Apart from Jajodia, poker pro Sumit Sapra also participated in this event. Sapra was eliminated in the 12th spot for a payday of VND 131,91,000. 

Monster Stacks Event

Yet another event that has an Indian pro on the FT is the Monster Stack tournament where Zarvan Tumboli is on the FT fresh off his win from the APT PLO tournament. He busted on the 7th spot and cashed 44 Million VND. He previous shipped the APT Pot Limit Omaha (PLO) title and the Deep Stack Hyper Turbo. He cashed VND 71 Million in both the events. His 7 ♦ 6 ❤ lost to A3 suited. Tumboli played till the last blind but still said, “Ran terrible at the FT.”

A host of Indian poker players grinded in the APT series taking place in Vietnam, namely Shardul Parthasarathi, Sumit Sapra, Zarvan Tumboli, Ankit Jajodia among others.
