The 12-day long, prestigious Asian Poker Tour (APT) Online Series 2020 is underway on Asia-facing online operator Natural8. Looking at the current scenario across the world, the series has experienced a surge of players and the advertised guarantee of $1.57 million has been crushed to become a massive $1.98 million. Tremendous action still awaits with 31 remaining tournaments on the list spread across six days.
With poker players looking forward to the Main Event, last night concluded Flight C and Flight D which registered a total of 475 entries more than the combined number of Flight A and Flight B that garnered 463 entries. This in turn created a juicy prize pool of $445,550, double the assured guarantee as the buy-in to the event was $500. Only 225 players progress to Day 2 while Flight E is still on the list which is about to take place today at 4 pm.
With a buy-in of $200, a total of 151 runners registered themselves almost doubling the prize pool to become $28,237. Eventually, before the tournament ended, the top 23 players ended up earning a payout. Powering through the field to claim the title was ‘MK FALCON’ who secured $5,882 in prize money and moved 9th in the leaderboard. The champion defeated ‘kirard28’ in heads-up who settled in the second position earning $4,220.
