WSOP Online 2023: Aayush Arya Ships The COLOSSUS Event For Over 2 Crore

Indian poker pro Aayush Arya has nailed Event #22: $400 COLOSSUS to grab a shiny new WSOP gold bracelet and a pay cheque of ~₹2.76 Crore ($331,878). Arya is now the sixth Indian player to win a WSOP bracelet. This BITS Pilani alumnus now joins the ranks of Indian pros like Aditya Sushant, Nikita Luther, Abhinav Iyer and Kartik Ved.

Arya emerged victorious from a large player field of 10,812 to ship the online event and bring home glory. He beat Volodymyr Bartko who added $243,297 to his bankroll for his runner-up finish.

The 26-year-old from Delhi now has the second highest score among the Indian bracelet winners. Arya is second only to Iyer who took a pay cheque of ₹3.87 Crore.

The poker pro has upped India’s WSOP tally to five and we hope to see this pro win more WSOP events in the coming future.

Final Hand in Event #22 COLOSSUS

Arya was playing with 96o and Volodymyr Bartko had J6o. The community cards brought 2c 6c 9s Kh 2d. This meant it was game over for Bartko and Arya had won the coveted WSOP Online 2023 event and a gold bracelet.

When it comes to winning big, Arya is no stranger to top titles. He won the High Roller event at the Deltin Poker Tournament (DPT) in April 2022 for a sum of ₹32.94 Lakh. 

Going by his recorded live titles, Arya has 93 to his credit, with 16 of them coming in 2023. This poker champ has a lifetime score of ₹6.5 Crore (excluding the WSOP Online 2023 win).

Talking about the WSOP Online 2023, the series kicked off on 20th August and will run till 2nd October. The series offers 33 bracelet events and some of the world’s finest poker players are seen grinding in this prestigious poker tournament series. With Arya’s spectacular win, we hope to see more Indian players participate in the WSOP event and win gold bracelets.
