There’s good news for the Indian fans keeping a tab on the progress made by our pros grinding in World Series of Poker (WSOP) 2023. The Indian pros who have qualified for Day 2 of the Tag Team event are Ashish Ahuja along with Gokul Raj and Aditya Agarwal. Other pros who were grinding in Event #51: $1,000 Tag Team were Zarvan Tumboli – Kunal Patni, Muskan Sethi – Abhishek Goindi and Siddharth Karia – Aditya Sushant.
Talking about the pros who have bagged and tagged for Day 2 of the Event #51: $1,000 Tag Team, Ahuja and Raj have 139,500 chips at the end of Day 1, Agarwal has a stack of 19,500 to survive Day 2 of this event.
When it comes to the Tag Team, this much awaited event had 1,282 entries out of which 252 players moved ahead in Day 2 and only 193 players will have an ITM finish. It would be interesting to see how our Indian pros navigate the competition on Day 2.

Day 2 will have Mark Evangelista and his teammate starting the day with a tournament-leading stack of 562,000 chips. Kenneth Gallo (382,000), Richard Ali (325,000), Amber Donatelli – Marcus Stein (325,000), and Jeremy Palvini – Jean-Paul Pasqualini (305,000) are the teams which have bagged stacks of over 300,000 chips.
Coming to the defending champions, Patrick Leonard and Espen Jørstad had won the Tag Team event at the WSOP 2022 (Event #55) for a payday of $148,067.
Other notable international players who failed to make it to Day 2 were names like Phil Hellmuth – Dan Cates, Brad Owen – Amber Laird, Benjamin Spragg – Henrik Hecklen, Tim Duckworth – Donnie Peters, and Justin Pechie – Ronnie Bardah. Hellmuth came dressed in a costume grabbing all the attention he could.
